Music The Amazing Emporium of Wondrous Tunes (aka: What are you listening to?)

This may not interest everyone but my friend and musical partner John Stewart's birthday was a few days ago. John died in 2008. I found a video that we shot in Scotland back in 2003, and never released. Here are a couple of the songs: JS videos - Paul RyBolt

    ireland burial grounds

Thanks. The first two are at Muckross Abbey just outside Killarney and the last is on Abbey Island on the south part of the Ring of Kerry. I'm in Kerry for a month and have covered nearly every burial ground, shrine and holy well in a 100 mile circle.

We're in SW Ireland at the moment. We've been here two weeks and are here for another two. The shooting has been good, primarily with the Fuji X cameras and lenses. A few days ago I had a camera problem with one of the XT1's and wound up using the RX1 exclusively. It turned out very well.

Fuji The Fujifilm X series image thread.

The current 35mm F1.4 lens is optically one of the best lenses I've used. Some people complain about the AF speed. It's immaterial to me so I don't know if it's fast or slow. Supposedly the 35mm f2 addresses the speed issue. I always find it interesting how these things work out. If Fuji had...

Fuji The Fujifilm X series image thread.

Well, the picture of my XT1 with the Summaron was shot with an XT1 and 18-135 lens. The weather still isn't co-operating to get outside and shoot so I'm still resorting to pictures of cameras!

    Starting on the Megaliths exhibit

Thanks! The Rokinon/Samyang/Bower 8mm lens for the Fuji X cameras is a full frame fisheye but it has some sort of optical correction built in that really works if you hold it level. Like all fisheyes, it can be overused but once in a while it's fun to play around with.

    Starting on the Megaliths exhibit

This picture is not really part of the megaliths project though it was done while walking to one of the sites. I thought it was fun for two reasons. First: it shows that you CAN go overboard in processing and it can happen very quickly. Second, it shows that an 8mm fisheye on a Fuji APS-C camera...

    Starting on the Megaliths exhibit

Thanks for the comments. I'll post more as I get them done. This project is actually two parts. The first is the megaliths and the second is the shrines, holy wells and burial grounds of Ireland. What I'm finding is that I prefer the megaliths in black and white and the other parts in color. I...

    Starting on the Megaliths exhibit

It's taken me almost 11 months to get started but I'm beginning to print pictures for an exhibit of Irish megalithic sites. I'm a big fan of Paul Caponigro's Megaliths work and the style he used. Here are a couple of the pictures.
