Nikon Anyone tried LTM or M mount lenses on Z mount?

Mostly old LTM lenses are bad on the mirrorless. Latest m designs are usually better. Phillip Reeve site (https://phillipreeve.net/blog/lenses/leica-lenses/) is very good with newly released lenses as Bastian publishes the lens reviews on M10 and Sony cameras. Anything good on Sony should work...

    Sony Sigma MC-11 on A7

Yes, it looks like A7 has pdaf, not like my A7r. Sigma has the compatibility list but there is no Canon lenses listed: https://www.sigma-global.com/en/support/download/SIGMA_MC_11_lens_en.pdf https://www.sigma-global.com/en/support/download/SIGMA_MC-11_camera_en.pdf This post says same...

    Sony Sigma MC-11 on A7

Yes, there is no phase detection on the original A7/A7R/A7S so it is af by contrast. I remember cheaper Canon 70-300mm was ok to use but it depends on the lens. I tried the Canon lenses on Sigma FP/Leica SL2 also and the experience was similar. I used the Canon 135mm f2 in mf as the af was...

GAS Considering a new system. Maybe Sony.

I am using A7CR as my P&S with Minolta/Sony 24-105 3.5-4.5 lens+LA-EA5 adapter, not sharpest zoom, but smaller than 24-105 f4 FE lens. It fits in my winter jacket pocket. 28-60 is a small lens, but there is not much space btw the grip and the lens and it nearly tears my fingers when I open the...

Manual Lens f1.2; Adapted vintage or New Tech?

Nice comparison of fast 50mm m mount lenses: https://phillipreeve.net/blog/comparison-super-fast-50mm-m-mount-lenses/ I have the OM 55mm, nice size, but not the best 50/55mm. Bastian also reviewed the EF Canon 50mm 1.2 and was saying FD version might be better with its floating elements which...

    Compact Compact 1" 5-10x zooms

The price of new models is the reason I have not upgraded from RX100 VI as prices increased with each generation but then newer RX10/100 are the only 1" camera with pdf. Initially it was maybe $300+ camera... My first RX100 lens mechanism broke down and the repair cost was close to getting used...

    Compact Compact 1" 5-10x zooms

RX100 VII has the best af with pdf, followed by Panasonic, then Canon cameras. I like the reach of ZS100/200 esp in good light as the slow lens doesn't matter. One of the best IQ with reach was Canon G3X, but af was very slow and never got updated... G5X has the fastest lens, but again low...
