Usually you just download the update and install it. As link0000 mentioned, you existing product key should automatically be read and the new update work just as before. Very simple!

I'm going to try reformatting the card each and every time now and see how it goes. I only ever formatted it in the camera but often left previous images on the card after backing up to the computer using a card reader.. We'll see how it goes! Leon

Doesn't sound good, such a product should have such problems. I had dust spots on my Canon S90, they were on the sensor. They fixed it under warranty and I would expect Fuji to do the same. Maybe try and take it higher. The dirt may have already been in there or it is not sealed properly for it...

Great shots! I love the X10, auto-focus isn't perfect but for me it is pretty good, definitely much better than the S90 I also have. Ah, to be skiing in the French alps!!!

Thanks, i did try that but nothing happened! Only turning it off and on again fixed it. But it is so rare, I don't have a definite pattern yet.. Leon

Glad to hear I'm not the only one, thanks for all the comments! Looks like it could be a firmware issue perhaps. I'll try reformatting, I usually do it in the camera but lately I've been leaving the previous photos on the card as extra backup while on holidays...

As some have mentioned, the main difference for me is the ability to put on whatever lens I like on the u4/3 I have. But I don't take them with me all the time, so then the X10 comes with me!

I'll see if it gets worse, now it is only occasional.. They'd probably say they can't fault it! Leon

While I have several cameras, it is great to have a Fuji only forum. I recently bought the X10 mainly as a replacement for a Canon S90, while it is substantially larger, I like it a lot more. Mainly leave it on EXR and shoot JPG, it is my almost always with me camera...

I don't know if it is true, but apparently Fujifilm haven't been that helpful to software developers in helping them add the RAW capabilities. Maybe because their deal with SilkyPix?

Unless I've missed something, I'd like to be able use the exposure compensation in EXR mode... I know it is an auto mode, but still!

On some occasions, my X10 will not turn on. Turn the zoom ring and it won't go on, then off and on again usually fixes it. Anyone else had this issue? Almost seems like the internal switch has an issue...
