Starting Over - a kind of PAD for January

Down to 300 files that are probably dupes - whew! Took a break for the FMS PAD and wound up doing my second ever focus stack, so I'll post it. Photo from a shoot for our December PAD, as long as I had a lighting setup and a camera with a new lens on a tripod, I figured I'd try a few subjects...

Starting Over - a kind of PAD for January

I haven't dropped through a crack. I'm weeding out 1,000 or more dupes (don't ask). So far I'm finding photos of personal significance only. Keep up the good work. I'm loving this thread! Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

Starting Over - a kind of PAD for January

Henry has 2,500 people and we're trying to get a club started. Some of the farmers are also very interested in County Fair/ 4 H and adult 'rodeo' type horsemanship, and Thursday a highschool kid gave a great presentation on long exposures, including steel wool burning and star trails. His folks...

Birds Magpies can be manipulative bastards.

It's a quick read, and with luck your library can get you a copy. Sent from my MB865 using SeriousCompacts mobile app

Sigma River Yealm, the river that currently belies its name

I'm so bad that when a church or street is named for an Anglo Saxon saint, I have to tell his/her story! "It's on the lane named for that bishop who wouldn't allow himself to be ransomed and was killed by Vikings." Luckily, my husband understands! Sent from my MB865 using SeriousCompacts...

Sigma River Yealm, the river that currently belies its name

I will let my husband plan the trip and wear dark glasses until I learn to pronounce the place names! Sent from my MB865 using SeriousCompacts mobile app

But, on a serious note, all my best to everyone affected by this flooding. It's dangerous to experience, and it can leave a heartbreaking aftermath.

I just pray I hear places mentioned before I see them spelled when I travel in England!

Starting Over - a kind of PAD for January

Experience making a difference is a good point! I only started shooting RAW in December, and so far I've used PS Elements, although I bought some Topaz plugins when they went on sale month-by-month last year. But I'm grateful that when I edit my jpegs, I've always saved the edits as copies on...

It's past my bedtime and I'm late for Merchant's treat and he's lying on my desk where my keyboard should be, purring, until I give it to him. *sigh.* Before - cropped from a larger photo - a cowboy in a toga from the Albert memorial in Hyde Park, 2009. Birds Magpies can be manipulative bastards.

My sister-in-law turned me onto the book I'm linking to, "No More Dead Dogs." She and her daughter had noticed that in almost all dog books and movies, the dog dies at the end. This book addresses that problem. It's a Young Adult novel, but a good read, and why should kids have all the fun...
