R...thanks for the response. When I set the M and hit the left rear control dial, the screen just goes black. If I go through the function key, drive mode is grayed out when in M mode. Wish it worked. I like having it set a 2 seconds and let it take the photo. Keeps the camera nice and steady...

Why can't I select drive mode while in manual setting?
