Took a photographer friend to a scenic mountainside forest trail today. Only to find out there was some kind of a film crew filming some kind of feature film, which initially prevented us from walking past.

I buy a lot of used books and I often see written messages on the inside cover from the person giving the book as a present. I also sometimes see things like cards and other handwritten notes on scraps of paper within the pages of the books. Long lost to the people who originally wrote them...

I think I completely misunderstood your circumstances - I thought you were being cared for at home while you recover, I didn't realise you were at the hospital the whole time (or partially at home some of the time?).
