    Hallåå from Sweden

Välkommen. Vi är fler svenskar här. I think the rest of the people here appreciate if we do it in English instead

    Mac Os - Windows

I have Ventura on my M1 Max MBP, and Windows 11 on my desktop rig. They're about equally stable imo. I pretty much have only bug that is irritating me on MacOS, which is windows losing focus for no reason whatsoever. From googling I have gathered that it may have something to do with...

    B&W Portraits

Wifey thought it would be a good idea to snap a few of myself, so I did. It's been a few years since I kind of just stopped taking selfies. I'm in the midst of a work-related transition (upwards) so low self-esteem, depression and imposter syndrome is quite strong at the moment. Some were good...

    B&W Portraits

This old man has been extremely difficult to take a portrait of. He "dun wan it", nor does he want to collaborate on making it a photo, and he's all kinds of reclusive on his boat and just being very elusive in general when the camera gets out of the bag. So, might as well let you guys in on...

Right. Still interesting. Thanks for enlightening me on this particular photographer. I know there was a Finnish photographer that took selfies before it was popular taking selfies, with a medium format (?) camera? Speaking of which.. how are Matti Sulanto and Peter Forsgård regarded in the...

    Another lurker from mu43

Paasilinna is kind of the humour I was brought up with. I can't speak for other people but at least in Sweden I think the humour works fine. Might be something the nordics do well. Actually I bought two new books from Paasilinna last friday, Tohelo Suojelusenkeli and Paratiisiaaren Vangit. Not...

It could be. Thanks Olli. You have suggested a lot of series I haven't seen yet. A Man Called Ove is a great comedy, and so are the 100-åringen movies. My favourite comedic books are the ones written by Arto Paasilinna, I wish I could see more of them as movies. That is true Melanie, the...
