Nature Show Landscape

Hi Phil, I'll guess you edited your above photo. If so, that caused the link to go bad. It's a great photo, so do update your post above!

Here's one taken this week. Using Phil's approach could be titled "(It's still damn) winter house on the hill." ;)

This doesn't look like a Botanic Gardens shot... Up in the hills? In any case lovely pano; its up to southern hemi types to show autumn colours for another 6 months..... :)

I'm betting that was up in the Blue Mountains somewhere like Leura... where I live, there's no autumn to speak of... we are already near its end, and the leaves remain green, and people are still going to the beach. When winter finally arrives, its leaves... no leaves, with nothing much in between, sadly.

It was at Mount Wilson, on the northern side of the Blue Mountains. There's only a windows of a few weeks where you get nice colour. I agree there isn't too much autumn here. If it weren't for the imported trees, you certainly couldn't tell it's autumn from the flora. In Sydney you can generally tell the season from the plants. Colours in Autumn, Flowers in Spring, Jacaranda trees in summer etc.

We are off to the central coast today for a swim (at least the kids) and a picnic. So yes, the temperatures are still pretty good nearing winter.
