Eeek... just noticed I messed up earlier, I need to do that one again to get the plane of focus aligned with the chain links. I'm am collecting images of bike parts for a project.
A tiny (barely 6 inches tall) snowperson, built by an enterprising child and placed atop a fence in downtown Talent, Oregon, just after a winter snowstorm.
Well, it's SOOC, taken around 9am - the imprints of the soles of his "running shoes" in a light dusting of snow on a concrete porch. So I'd say it's just a really nice impression of the treads of the shoes, in snow that wasn't deep enough to fill in the deepest hollows, making a lot of different textures. I'm glad you said something, because I felt a little silly putting down the trash bag and going back for the camera to take a picture of them, but they did seem striking somehow. Which is the long way around of saying, now you've mentioned it, I don't know why it looks like the concrete is pushing up through the snow - but unconsciously that trick of the light is probably what caught my eye.
