I personally like the color one better. I think it adds a little more dimension to the picture. I like the B&W one as well but the muted colors of the ground and trees makes the yellow of the leaves pop.

A rain shower clears away to the east
The long abandonded farm at Middleworth, probably abandonded about 1890 with the building of a nearby reservoir. Seen in the last rays of a winter sun.

This started as a birding trip. No decent pictures of birds, but the landscape at dusk was stunningly beautiful. (cross posted in landscape thread)
All with the Sigma DP2 Merrill. The orange reeds look overprocessed, but that really is how they looked, and the raw files had very little post processing done.
