Street Street photography (Image thread)

Thanks Luke. Yeah it is a bit heavy, the child being being protected by its mother, the looks on the other girls faces both focused in the direction of that ominously positioned male arm.....even that guy on the right under the foreclosure sign looks like he's running from the scene ! ...I assure you all participants are good and well, just one of those shots that lends itself well I think to a story, thankfully in this case, in inaccurate one.

I showed my partner the photo and she was horrified and asked if the girls were OK !

Christina, your first and fourth are my two favorites. That first one has a very eerie feeling that is probably even more pronounced for those of us from the USA due to the fact that those hooded and robed figures bring back the images of the KKK - Klu Klux Klan. Something about their being "hidden" and then that one reaching out to the little girl... I'm sure it was all quite innocent, but the scene makes me uneasy... Don't get me wrong - I find it disturbing but very well done!

The fourth confused me at first glance... I kept thinking I was seeing some women in short, lacy burkas - and then I realized I was seeing most of them from behind! I love the treatment you gave this image...with the blurring and choosing black and white for this one, as well as that first one was right on the mark.
