B&W High Contrast B & W

I'm in the process of learning Lightroom 4.1 and possibly/probably transitioning away from Aperture. Because, of course, LR is sooo good at highlight and shadow recovery and at NR. So, of course one of the first things I do is to find a set of Daido Moriyama presets and start playing with them and of course in the process recover precisely NO highlights or shadows and reduce absolutely NO noise! I went back to my New York City photos and found a few I hadn't ever done anything with that seemed like good candidates for the Daido treatment. Which are high contrast B&W if ANYTHING is... Oh, a mix of X-Pro and OMD...

Not a lot of compelling content, but a style I quite like... Made easy by the miracle of modern technology...

Wowzer, Ray - I really, really like this look very much for these pictures. Send me a link to that "preset" when you have the chance.;)

The two that hit me the most are your first and last... The first is very moving and kind of eerie. One can read a lot of emotion into the scene...
