One of my favourite local walks is the climb to the top of My Ngungun which is one the Glasshouse Mountains in South East Queensland, Australia. These mountains are the plugs that remain from long dead volcanoes.

The climb up Mt Ngungun is pretty easy with a well maintained trail that ascends only a couple of hundred metres in elevation. While not a particularly strenuous walk I always enjoys the views from the top. The following are a series of images taken early on a crisp and clear winter's morning.

This is the first time I've been out with a camera for a couple of months which made for a nice change.

Love the unusual shape of these mountains.
Wonderful photos, you really get a sense of the environment from these!

Looks like it was a great day to go out with a camera (without a camera too, but I'm glad you had yours with you :) )
