Leica Show us your film Leica

Currently got it on my 1942 User IIIc...but 5 shots in the winding knob jammed :(
Luckily it wasn't related to the lens or the shutter itself. I took the winding knob off the deck, cleaned it up and lubricated some bits of it before reassembly.
Works fine now, let's hope it stays that way for another decade.

Hello Everyone! This is my first post in this forum. Over time I've accumulated a small collection of film Leicas, 2 Barnacks and 2 Ms. Here it is:

15342470992_0869d1fe28_z.jpg

I Standard with the 50/3.5 Elmar and FOKOS rangefinder

II with a 35/3.5 Summaron and VIOOH universal finder

M4-2 with a 90/4 Elmar (LTM and adapter)

M6 Titanium (well-used) with the 50/2.8 Elmar-M (latest version)

This was taken with my newly-acquired M8 with a 50/2 Summitar.

As you can tell, my entire lens collection excepting the 50/2.8 Elmar are all LTM lenses using adapters when mounted on the Ms. They all work great!

Cheers, Allan

P.S. My mom (she's 83) still has and uses her IIIg (with the 50/2 Summicron I); I guess that's where I got it from!

Since I got rid of my M6 a few years back, I am without a film Leica so I am improvising. How about a film camera (Nikon F2as) and my Leica.

I love to see pictures of my Sonnars posted here, and of the pictures taken with them.

Looks great on the early M3. I went through Thiele for the batch numbers of 5cm F1.5 Sonnars, I've shot with lenses of many of the pre-war batches. The batches usually number 1000 or 2000 each.
