My favourite of the series ...

Okay, heading for the finish line now - sorry for the little hold-up yesterday. I looked through all the remaining images - and decided to stick with the wayside finds; my attempt at some street photography was seriously underwhelming (I need to get the camera down better for that kind of stuff - and move in closer, again, with this setup). So it'll sort of continue as it has been ...

Yeah, when I try to do street, I normally end up with "urban" photos...

I quite enjoy the 23, great composition.

Thanks, José. Your quite right, of course - but this time, I just framed very badly. If I'm in the right frame of mind, so to speak, street works for me. But so far, it hasn't on film - it's just a bit different.

On a side note: Just back from the second extended photo walk in two days - only to discover that I hadn't loaded one of the cameras I had with me properly. Either no images at all or early rewind (I strongly suspect the former). Much as I like the Vitessa in general terms, it's a devil to load - sometimes, it's dead simple, sometimes, it's fiddly as hell. Have succeeded now (after thankfully recovering the roll - we'll see what comes of that ...), but all the subjects of the last three quarters of an hour (when I was quite enjoying myself while using that camera exclusively) are zilch ... Ach, weel ...

That's it. It was fun - but also (due to the brittleness of the roll due to expiration, probably) a bit sobering or frustrating at times. It certainly further fueled my fascination with shooting film, and I learned a lot in the process (like how to go about scanning and do - minimal - post processing for scanned image). Thanks for seeing this through with me :)
