Cats The Requisite Cat (Kitty) Photo thread

I don't have a cat of my own, so I photograph my neighbors, who still has a litter from last summer around. Here's a couple. They're a bit skittish, and don't let me get too close. With the X10.

This image makes me chuckle because I can't help but think of these two cats as the predators with their recent "kill" - the downed donkey. And they look as though they're giving you some serious consideration as well!

P.S. I agree - I sure hope Sebastian is AOK, that must have been awfully scary!

I believe they thought of it as their kill too. They are really quite amusing sometimes, and the one on the right has a glare that could almost kill you on its own. Yet when I walk my dog at night, she goes up within inches of them and they don't seem bothered by it, though I wouldn't say they were exactly relaxed either.

First one taken with the 35mm/1.4, and others with the Minolta Rokkor-PF TELE MC 135mm F2.8.

I've been bringing my X100 to the local Cat Shelter where I do volunteer work. Silver Efex Pro used for B&W conversions..

Mytola (Henrik?), I sure hope you offer to let that cat shelter use your photos for publicity! They're all excellent, and I think that second one shows that they've got themselves a Magic Cat.🐱

Peter, your photos are great as well in a completely endearing way. If that's your daughter...or even if she is not, she's clearly smitten!:love_heart:

Thanks, BBW! I certainly do let the shelter use all of my photos taken there for publicity, of course! The "magic cat" was adopted a few weeks ago, and now lives in a new home as well :D
