Not being in a hurry works for me. Kids are all different and can take some time to get used to having a camera pointed at them. Let them get used to you, interact with them, get down to their level and have fun!

So I took some pics of the kids last night. This time though, I wanted to get comfortable with the built-in B & W in X100s, which I heard were outstanding. Until this time I've only shot colored and converted the files to B&W via Lightroom. I wanted to see how the files will turn out, without a fallback. I think it performed really really well.
