It doesn't really detract from the picture, which I like BTW, but I notice that the gate wires are less sharp in the center than near the edges, probably an idiosyncrasy of the lens.Happy 4th of July for those of you who celebrate it. I encountered three parked cars of colors red, white and blue but they were dirty and one was really gray so that's not my pick of the day.
Instead let me present, Cage Bird

No no, it's this new kind of fuzzy wireIt doesn't really detract from the picture, which I like BTW, but I notice that the gate wires are less sharp in the center than near the edges, probably an idiosyncrasy of the lens.
That's me. Subtle. "A very sophisticated subtle. Subtle that will make you want to shout. Subtle that brings tears to grown men's eyes. A very saintly subtlety. Obviously requiring immense skill, dedication, and patience. It’s a very subtle image.
Do Not note the manufacturing origin labels. Great shot of the spirit and colors; Happy 4th!To make this even more American, this tent was in the parking lot of Walmart. Note the “Fireworks: Please No Smoking” sign on the back wall.

Beautifully done. Truly lovely image! Bravo!!I'm trying to stick the the 1:1 guideline and part of the reason I chose the 15mm lens is because I dont usually do very well with a wide lens. My favourite FoV falls somewhere between 35 and 150. And thats why I decided not to go with the TZ in the end... however, after only 3 days my wrists are giving out. Its been raining, but I dont really want to switch to the WR zoom so I'll see how it goes. Maybe a shot of the nasturtiums in the back yard from under a brolly.
[edit] Brolly not required. I liked the Jasmine (or whatever it is, this creeper) better. Its actually a bright orange but the fence is ugly so I decided a conversion to monochrome and a darkening of everything except the flowers, was the go. Couldnt get the same effect without converting. And the rain stopped long enough to get that.

Agreed, it works nicely. Makes me want to slow down and watch the process.Hi Tony, I do like that image on the basis that it is a simpler subject with less clutter than your previous entries, the eye is able to settle better on the image plus all the components of the image relate intimately to one another.

Nice! In the U.S. a newspaper article warrants a cell phone snap. Good to know a photographer is still used by some newspapers. We had the pro photographers in today. They took over the garden to do a photoshoot of my wife for an article in The Guardian newspaper.

I got a little “Day 2” sub-screen near the end. It kinda spoils the effect.Taking a dip in our new Omni Tub Solo Plus soaking tub!
Safe to watch but the music might send you over the edge before you reach the end ...
