SiJy 2019 Outtakes

As explained here, I was able to end the Day 3 on a high with a few shots I really like. It also helped that the Dutch women's football team qualified for the World Championship final :). My Day 3 entry is the one I like most at the moment, but experience shows that my preference may change later, I often revisit my photos after a few days/weeks/months or even years. These are some others from the same shoot.

Not very energetic during the day, can you tell?

And this was one of the shots I took to have at least something for Day 3; hardly exciting, but not embarrassingly bad :).

The shot I intended to post until I remembered the stork shot:

We had our yearly outing yesterday; the people in the image are colleagues of mine. I was relegated to crew photographer after the official one left (her daughter had her graduation ceremony). This is why I got to shoot my colleagues (reluctantly - I hadn't brought the camera for that purpose; if it hadn't been seen when I caught the image above, I might have been able to dodge the whole thing). Nevertheless, a couple of shots came out well enough. Here's a little grab shot of one our old guys (they're invited along, several of them join us every year).

M.

My Day 6 outtake is a cheat. It rained last night and I decided to check out the raindrops instead of dewdrops (they are bigger it seems). I also use this to get up early and get a couple of miles in before it gets hot.
But I had the 14-150 on the camera and wanted to make sure I could still 'see' zoom.

I think this concludes my water droplet 'thing', but one never really knows; does one?

Is that last one amber of a particularly nasty kind of confection?
Not something I would want to try, he had a bunch of others, including several other scorpion. This one in the skull was the most interesting. But I really couldn't figure how to get one shot that showed the scorpion and that it was insde the skull.
