SiJy 2019 Outtakes

I had an SIJ day today which is very rare - so many acceptable images, I had a hard time deciding which to post. Would be great if every day this month is like this.

My other option from this morning. Across the road from where my picture for the day was taken, and about 20 minutes earlier.

Cheers,

Hi Antonio, I wonder what it would have been like with just a very slight increase in the detail in the deep shadowed areas, it would have been something I would have tried.

Camaraderie seems to block the shadows somewhat. In the original, you can see the blue wildflowers that are all over the foreground. It may well be that the shadows can be boosted a bit more, but that will have to wait until I can re-edit on my desktop.

Thanks!

Day 7 outtakes: The first was a hot contender - but somehow, it seems impossible to straighten the lines without distorting everything else.

Intriguing. I just use the Guided transform all the time in Lightroom, it allows perfectly horizontal and vertical lines where I want them. I took the liberty of applying a guided transform to your picture, like so. Not completely sure about the horizontal correction but that's how I'd do it anyway. And yes, I like the picture!

Day 4... Not really an outtake, as I wasn't intending to take any fireworks photos (would have brought something other than the GR for that), but proves the GR is pretty capable of even heavy cropping from a not-ideal location and a slow handheld shutter speed:
