Daily Challenge The April 2020 Challenge - day 15

Three and a bit weeks in and supplies are running low... I might have to go to the store soon...

My Day 15 image shows the tailblock I was sanding in the Day 14 image glued in place, and the sides of the baritone ukulele are ready to accept the soundboard. Lots of work left on the soundboard before it can be glued, however.

This is also my last Challenge 2020 image with the Pen F 38/1.8. After today, I'm switching to the Olympus 17/1.8. I'm hoping its wider FOV will be more conducive to the indoor images I'm recording.

When I see the love you put in your work as it progresses, Tony, I feel reminded of my great-great-grandfather.
He was a miller, but spent every free minute in his friend's workshop who was a carpenter. And I'm very proud to have this nice cupboard as a reminder of him. A cherry and a pear tree from his own garden were used for it.
It must give a very special kind of satisfaction to create things with this beautiful material.

Another small knife for the small knife people. New ESEE Xancudo, small fixed-blade patterned after their Zancudo folder. I'm replacing older heavier gear with smaller lighter stuff.

Not a big fan of the scale colors, but they are grippy without being rough and fit my hand well. Also not a fan of the sheath. At some point I'll get a leather sheath and hopefully someone will be putting out some replacement scales.

Alternative image with an older Swiss Army Camper and new Trekker for size comparison is in the outtakes and alternatives thread.
I'm beginning to worry about you with all these knives, lol!

Definitely NOT what I wanted to post but ...

... meet my new tool:

The GR III caught severe, and I mean severe, sensor dust today - and I don't know how, but it makes the camera all but unusable for my purposes. Also, tried to move or remove that crud, but it won't budge (the built-in sensor cleaning functionality is completely ineffective, and I'll not shake the camera vigorously, as much as I want to - after all, the sensor is movable now ...). So, the GR III is out. For now, at any rate. I'll have it cleaned and restored once that's possible again. Not sure if I'll keep it at all after that.

This is ridiculous. But probably, I have myself to blame for that - heck, what do I know ... I'm really angry about this.

Anyhow, since this is a Challenge, instead of grabbing a camera I'd normally use, I'll resort to a combo I've never shot with for any considerable length of time: the Nikon 1 V1 (which has been used for a "Single in" challenge) and the tiny 10mm f/2.8. Same FoV as the GR, no frills, old, small, lower resolution sensor. If the new kids won't play, the old boys take over.

M.
