Day 16: abandoned tanker truck in field

Had to drive to the local large hardware store today in the neighboring town of Ashland, Oregon, and I took the slower, scenic route, driving on country lanes outside of the towns. When I saw this old rusted tanker truck, sitting at the edge of a temporarily abandoned cow pasture, I stopped. I'd driven by this very pasture and this very abandoned and rusted vehicle before but today I couldn't keep going. I hopped out of my car, and took a few photos. The owner of the field came by and asked me what in tarnation I was doing and I explained that I was simply a fan of the way her old rusted truck looked. She laughed and told me that it was a good thing the cows weren't in the pasture today, as they can get rather ornery with bipeds in general, and, possibly, with photographers in particular.

There's a bit of a story behind this one. The truth is that the whole COVID-19 situation and the lockdown has me a bit stressed out. As a consequence, some nights it takes me a bit longer to fall asleep. This is the view from my pillow while I wait for sleep to come. The light comes from our garden lamp and shines through our blinds. In reality, it is not quite as bright as it looks in the photo.

I LOVE the shadows that come from blinds.

Day 16. Sorry to be a day late posting, the aliens just released me from their test lab. :)
I am going to try to shoot with the ultrawide Laowa 7.5 for the rest of the month. I really need to get more comfortable with it.
I decided to see if I could create an image similar to the "Fork Coronavirus!" series using the Laowa. So here is my quick attempt, with no fork involved (no forking way I'm gonna disobey the Muse! ).

Way too late on this one, but might as well post something I took yesterday. We had a nice tree, or rather clump of trees (alder or something) in the empty lot next door, which provided some screening and late afternoon shade on the bedroom, but the lot has sold and now it has bit the dust. Really hoping home construction doesn't ensue.
