Yesterday was about the first time I did some serious bird photography, albeit limited to a 70-200 lens on APS-C. Didn't get too many keepers, these two are my favourite.

A very sad image: A juvenile kestrel, obviously dying ... I saw no injury, but it didn't budge, and barely breathed.

I didn't have a suitable lens on the camera and didn't want to get too close because I didn't know what caused its distress ... some kind of disease, maybe ...
