Coming soon to a thread near you. I had the V2 a few years ago, and sold it during one of my gear swaps. I decided not to wait for the 70-300 and ordered another one. Plus I expect the 70-300 will be 3X-4X the price of the 50-230.
Just arrived a short while ago. A couple of random snaps to test functionality. The one with my dog isn't bad, considering I left the ISO at 200, and ended up with 1/2 sec @120mm.

I was trying to get a photo of a Titmouse that had carried a peanut into the bushes, and once again I forgot to change the ISO, allowing the shutter speed to get really slow.

A few more taken through the fine mesh of our screened porch. I missed a great composition of the Northern Flicker clinging to the small tree right next to the squirrel. I tried using back button focus, and for some reason, the X-T2 locked onto the mesh of the screen, even though I had pre-focused. By the time I recovered, the Flicker had moved away.
