The Caladenia flava is a relatively common orchid in the south-west of Western Australia. The Caladenia flava is a single, hairy leaf and up to three yellow flowers which often have red markings.
We were walking the Bibbulmun Track in this section as part of Ibu Anne’s training to complete the Oxfam Trailwalker 50km. Anne ticked off the Trailwalker in early October 2018, having completed the 50 km walk.
If I get lucky, and the passing parrots and local honey eaters don’t destroy *all* the blossoms, I may get some apples this year. I had two, once, before the drought really hit. They were very small and green.

I may have posted this already. Can’t remember. These creepers have crept over the fence from the property behind mine, but I don’t mind. I hate the fence and I love the flowers.
