    Sigma DP1Q and LVF-01 announced!

It seems Sigma took inspiration from current users of the DP Merrills (including myself) I bought a viewfinder loupe actually for the DP3, but this is how it looks on the DP1: I agree that so far the Quattro cameras are not a compelling upgrade for us Merrill users, among other things, I am...

a couple more images from my hike on the alps, all taken with the DP1M: I find the sigma lens better than reported by various reviews, compared to the DP2M it is a bit less supersharp in the corners but for a wideangle it is truly impressive, stopped down to f/4 is already...

Sigma Sigma DP Series Image Thread

I am evaluating adding some sort of viewfinder to my Sigmas, I am finding situations where a viewfinder would be useful. I am also considering to buy the DP3 and I believe a viewfinder would make the camera more effective for taking portraits and in general in situations with low light that can...

Sigma Sigma lens hoods vs generic ones and filter sizes

Roy, thanks for your reply! I have a normal profile UV filter and it fits without problems under the hood of the DP2M

Sigma Sigma lens hoods vs generic ones and filter sizes

I am using the sigma lens hood on the DP2M and it seems very effective, now I am about to buy a ND filter set and I have the usual two options: 1) buy a filter in the 49mm size that fits the lens and use the sigma hood with it 2) buy the filter in the size that fits my largest lenses (58 and...

Sigma Looking for a starting point

Sorry for the double post, I saw I forgot to quote the original post I assume same viewpoint means a scene framed in identical way, or did you mean shooting from the same point? The last would mean the fuji frame would contain more because of the larger field of view. So far I have compared...

Sigma Looking for a starting point

I assume same viewpoint means a scene framed in identical way, or did you mean shooting from the same point? The last would mean the fuji frame would contain more because of the larger field of view. So far I have compared the DP2M with an Olympus E-P5 and kit lens and the results are of course...

Sigma Looking for a starting point

I have the X100s, I didnt do a direct comparison because the focal length is different from the Sigma, which comparison are you interested to? detail? noise? tonal range?

Ripleysbaby, those are awesome pictures! It's cool you can find snow at low elevation, it's different from here, next month I am going hiking in the alps here and I plan to bring the DP2M with me, there will be plenty of snow but only over 1500m / 5000ft
