You're a convincing bunch aren't you?
So, I stopped by my favourite camera store on the way home and got myself a 35/2 — it's absolutely great. Sharp at f/2, super quiet, and could there be a faster focussing lens for Fujifilm?
I'll try to post some images later.
I picked up a new X-Pro3 in Dura silver a couple of weeks back, for barely more than the price of the painted black version.
I absolutely love this camera. My 35/1.4 is glued to it for the moment. It’s a big step up from my X-E3 that it replaces.
Six weeks of waiting, but my TP leather half-case finally arrived, curiously via German post. Nice matching hand strap provided as a free gift.
This will be my fourth TP case (having put one on each of my X-E 1, 2, & 3 cameras), nicely made without the price tag of other brands.
One of the neighbours' chickens, through our adjoining slat fence.
No crop, and just a slight bump in Definition to improve the contrast. I find this lens a bit patchy at the long end, but it can still deliver.
This is the version one lens. I bought it six years ago almost to the day, while visiting friends in Adelaide, Australia. It cost me AU$275 new, and the performance has far eclipsed the price.
At noon on Easter Sunday, pipers all over the world were invited to play Amazing Grace from their location, to help lift our spirits during the pandemic.
Our neighbour's daughter plays the bagpipes and she was out with her mother, and younger brother in full regalia.
My wife and I had our ninth Wedding Anniversary in lockdown, so missed our usual pilgrimage to have dinner where we were married.
Our four-year-old daughter made pizza, and we cracked open some bubbles...
As a footnote to my previous post, I received not one but two Expert Shield protector packs today, in separate packaging.
A note in the second package explained there was a potential manufacturing defect in their first batch, which may cause the edges not to adhere properly. So they were...
I received my upscreen hybrid glass protector last week, still no sign of the expert shield that I ordered nearly two weeks prior.
I was a little less than careful applying it, so ultimately took me four goes due to dust and alignment issues. Being semi rigid it wasn’t hard to take off and put...
That’s the second bad experience I’ve heard with the X100V Expert Shield protector. If you let them know they will replace them.
I’m still waiting for mine ordered on the 20th of Feb! I also ordered a glass protector (my first) from a different company that I’ve had good experiences with - I’m...
The size is different according to someone on another forum who bought an F protector.
I’m waiting on an Expert Shield protector coming from the US, and an upScreen glass protector from the UK just to cover my bases!
Yes, I’ve had two never-ready cases with two second hand X100s (S & T). I won’t be buying the official one, especially as it’s $200 in my money.
I’ve bought TP branded cases off eBay for three X-E cameras and they’ve been great.
I’ve got my eye on a second hand WCL-X100 II, but still in two minds. 28mm eqv isn’t my favourite focal length (I have an 18/2 that sits unused) and I have an iPhone that covers it - in reasonable light at least.
It’s quite excellent at the wide end, but my results at 45mm have been very inconsistent.
I’m not sure if it’s my copy, but it can very soft at any aperture while at other times it can be quite sharp even wide open.
I’ve tried with various OIS settings (including off) but haven’t nailed down...
