    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Looks like I'm getting the Silver Refurb. The black in E condition had been sold. It wont ship until the 29th, but at least all the lens will be here.I really wanted the silver anyway

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

The last two slots to fill . It's either the D4 or the D810. (big files). But with the lens I have coming, I'm thinking for landscape and portraiture it may not be a bad thing.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Found a 80-200 2.8 AFS. Can the DF handle it or is it D4 time? Sports .

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Found a great deal on a 24-85 3.5-4.5 VR and snatched it up. The 28-70 can now stay on the F100. Guess I should pick up a nifty 50, never owned one.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Yes, I like the silver version better but I bought one used in better condition in Black. If it turns out to be love I will send this one back and get the silver Refurb.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Well the bid on the 105 fell through, I did buy the 35 f2 and the 80-200 so at this moment my kit is 24 2.8 Ais, 35 f2d, 55 2.8 ais Micro, 90 Tamron (on loan from my Daughter ) 28-70 and 80-200. Really want that 105 2.5 so will keep after it. After that it will just be deal hunting. I got a few...

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

I have picked up a 35 f2d and made a bid on a 105 2.5 Non ai. I have never shot the 180 but have heard great things. I'm bleeding money at this point lol.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

I have the 80-200 in my cart on Amazon. I think I will go with it. I remember now that I did't care for the 70-210 f4, I liked the 4.5-5.6 D It focused almost as fast as my 80-200 2.8 but the colors were not as good as the 80-200.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Now the lens hunt begins. This is the part I love . First on the list will be a 35 and a 105 2.5. I've got an old 28-70 3.5-4.5 that is amazingly good but I need a good light longer zoom. Maybe a 70-210 f4.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Well I went with the black in E condition. Hope I beat Adorama's holiday shipping deadline. They said 12:30 PM

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Thanks,I've beat this horse enough. I'm going to pick one up and if we don't get along I'll return it. Refurbs at Adorama for 1599.00 used from 1099.00. Think I prefer the silver version.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

Does the Df have an option in the flash menu for focus assist?

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

That's what I'm thinking. Anything to give it a little vision may make a world of difference. If not I haven't lost much.

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

What about a shoe flash turned down to 1/128 say or a shoe remote transmitter if it emits a pre-flash or beam for focus would this solve or at least help along the auto focus in low light? I can see the Df needs help in low light conditions.

I hear ya. Unfortunately I am in the same boat. My S.S. kicked in last month otherwise I wouldn't be looking for anything but a place to hide Lol.

    Fuji Filled my last gap

I agree with the 18-55 being a great lens. At least 75% of my shots are using it and I think it's just as sharp as the 23 at 23. It's just a stop or so slower. The 55-200 is s great zoom also although I'm still looking for a 50-140 for low light. That's a great kit you have going there. All the...

That's a possibility. To tell the truth I have not used it inside C1 yet as my favorites are Nik and Alien Skin. I'm guessing the DAM in 3 probably wants to place the photo's in it's catalog. I have a copy of 2018 also and will give it a try when I get off work as it does not have the DAM in...

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

I'm looking at this to use my Ai and Ais glass. I like to hunt out Gems in lenses and wander around and shoot whatever . I just do not want to get frustrated with the auto focus for my auto lens, all though I have delt with it before. I think Im willing to take a chance for it's IQ alone. I miss...

    Nikon Df Autofocus Question

The Df's low light AF has taken quite a beating in some reviews. Have they issued any updates or do you feel any are necessary. Does it still have the focus assist inside the view finder for manual focus.I'm getting serious about buying one but one review said it would hunt in medium light until...

I don't have any experience with 4/3 files but I have heard complaints about files breaking down in On1. Can't remember what platform they were speaking about. I have had no issues with my Fuji RAF's but I haven't really pushed it either.

I would say it's average, but then I don't often shoot high ISO. I have downloaded NIK Define 2 into Fuji Capture 1 and it's my go to just because I've used it so long it's second nature. At Sebring I shot up to 3200 and the XT3 seemed to handle it pretty well so there was minimal clean up. All...

I have the Fuji Pro version but started out with the Express. To tell the truth I could live with the express version just fine. I have Luminar 3, Alien Skin and the Nik Collection loaded in C1 Fuji Pro. Open a pic, right click on it and if you get a menu that includes "Edit In "you should be...

Martin since I don't print I'm at a loss. Not much good on that end of the game, Sorry. C1 has a better output for my Fuji files and I would venture it's just as feature rich if not more so. Maybe someone will chime in on this.

Great job. You got the best out of that old 80-200. It produces images and color that are so pleasing to my eye. I had one years ago, light as a feather . This set has me wanting the Df more than ever. Very nice

I have thought about GIMP but I'll concentrate on C1 at the moment. I have Affinity and it is a pretty good PS substitute.

I like On1 RAW 2019 and picked it up pretty quick. I would not hesitate to use it again. I just feel I have not given C1 a fair try. The whole idea was to drop CC which I just did as my subscription was about to re-new in May.

Well everything Adobe is gone, even PS which I really liked. Just going a new way. I have been patiently working with C1 and doing much better with it and it will carry some of my plugins . Affinity works well with the old Nik collection I'll see how this goes. I have On 1 RAW 2019 which is a...

Do you have to register a new acct. I've tried two time to get into my old one to see what was going on and I got the same old song and dance. That's why I hate yahoo. Hope Flickr operates easier to enter.

    Fuji Maybe another XT1?

While I try very hard to Keep My ISO low, sometime in action and at night it is impossible. Since that is my preferred type of photography It is a necessary evil which I deal with.

    Fuji Maybe another XT1?

Don't mean to stir up a fuss guys, but this topic usually does, I think Xt1 files have a different look to them which pleases my eye. It will never be an action camera as the 3 is, but I have shot it up to 12,600 which cleaned up pretty well. I just don't want to work that hard anymore. As time...

    Fuji Maybe another XT1?

Yeah I rarely go over 3200 but then I had a D200 I didn't push past 400. The T3 is a far superior camera but I disagree about buttons and controls. The T1 just feels handy. No doubt which is the best machine but the same argument applies in Nikons. the Df and D4's even D3's are low light kings...

    Fuji Maybe another XT1?

I have the T3 and the T1. ISO limit was at 3200 . Just an observation from pics of my kids. I won't be selling my T3 anytime soon but there is a difference that appears smoother to me. The T3 is a 26 mp which to my eye has not been sorted out yet. I'm sure improvements are coming, or i may just...

    Fuji Maybe another XT1?

Thinking about this. I have the Xt3 and will see what the upgrade brings in April but I keep going back to the very clean XT1 files and thinking, wow these look better. The Xt3 does bring better autofocus, but it gets a little noisey if you lean on it.
