I realized after I had posted this that I mis-spoke. Yes, the Sony has more resolution than the M9. I'm also aware that the range finder is only a focusing tool and has nothing to do with image quality, that it's the lenses/sensor that are what produce the rendering. I'm also noticing that my...
A few pics from the beach yesterday between jobs. Sorry if these are off, I suffered a severe blow to the head a few months ago and have since developed a bad case of double vision. While I'm able to use the camera(one eye), processing is difficult. I have tape covering one side of a pair of...

A very cooperative Pelican.(sorry, I may have posted this before)
55 1.8, used the smart remote feature and left the camera alone until this little critter was comfortable. The photo was heavily cropped as close focusing this lens isn't so "close".

Here's a few pics of my first few outings with the a7r and 55 1.8. I had the 35 as well, but it's not one of my favorite lengths so back it went until I can find something wider. LOVE this camera!

Hi all, some great shots here! I have my A7+35mm and 55mm primes scheduled for delivery this Friday. After owning an M9 for a short while I'm really missing full frame. Just curious, are you finding the jpegs to be sufficient or are you shooting RAW and post processing? I'm using Aperture...
To me the Leica is more "three dimensional " than the Sony. I owned an M9 for a brief time and while I loved the camera I just couldn't justify the cost, but when I compare my Leica photos to either my X-pro1 or my x-100 the Leica photos are just more pleasing to my eyes. Nice shot with both...
You have a knack for getting gorgeous dog photos. They have such a dreamy look to them. Do you use a difusion filter to get this effect or is it done in post processing? Either way, I love your dog pics!
Dog Beach in CA. One of the few places in the area where dogs are allowed to run free. They have soooo much fun!

A few from Laguna Beach, CA. Kind of a gray day but I enjoyed it. The sun came just as I had to head back to work!

I love the M9 for it's simplicity. Nothing fancy or complicated, it just takes pictures. Expensive, well, yes. I gave up a bad habit a little over a year ago and with the money I saved I rewarded myself a used M9. It goes everywhere with me.
I use it and really like it, however I've not used any others so I can't really compare. It does a great job of removing noise(I just use the basic controls) but you'll also lose detail. It's very simple to use. Hope this helps.
Hi folks, I haven't posted in quite awhile as health issues with family and friends have kept me busy. Here's a few with my new(used) M9.

I love the mystical look you've captured with these, almost spooky! I love long exposures. I really like SFX-Pro2 but I see many photos that have "haloing" issues when pushed too far. Just something to watch for. This was taken in the late morning. There was too much light for a long enough...
For me it's image quality first, as I do prints, then simplicity. I don't like all of the menus and bells and whistles on digital cameras that never get used. I love the X-Pro for it's image quality, but really don't like it's focus-by-wire. In this regard I wish Fuji had gone with a more...
We have a couple of these opossums that visit us every night. They get such a bad reputation for being mean but we find that they're really quite gentle, although I wouldn't want to corner one.
