    Nature Show 'Insect'

Hardly see any of those these days. Used to see a lot on the fly screen door when I first moved to this house.

    Show: Spiders

For some reason there are a lot of them over this Christmas period. I am guessing because it is a little more tropic with the weather. Trouble is I will never get the time to process even half of the shots of them I hard on the SD card now

This shot was taken on the move, he did not like the focusing light. Tried two styles of post processing on this one.

    Film black and white film

The biggest space needed for developing film is often the dust free space to dry it after developing. I ended up getting a Kodak drying cabinet for 24 exposure rolls to keep the dust off. Unless you have a filtered darkroom, you still need a dust free cabinet for drying the film, good wetting...

    Fuji Tamron 18-300 for Fuji

Did a bit more testing of the X-T4 with the Tamron 18-300 stabilization again today. I think I may have been expecting too much. Reviews by some youtubers indicated that the X-T4 stabilization was getting close to Olympus and Panasonic Mu-43. I was partly basing my results on those claims as I...

I Finally Have My Bearings - and They Point to Fuji and Panasonic Full Frame

From what I can see Panasonic is doing the best as far as firmware updates. Fuji don't seem to be doing them like they used to. I noticed Chris from DP Review also seems to think that Fuji's firmware updates are not as often as before. But forgot which video that was in  The G9 updates...

    Fuji Tamron 18-300 for Fuji

I ended up getting one of these for my X-T4 and have mixed thoughts. I think for the zoom range the IQ is OK. It is a bit softer at 300mm but not sure if that is because of the stabilization not working. I have IS mode set to "Shooting Only" Originally set to "continuous" Shooting Menu page 2/2...

    Micro 4/3 Comparison PL25 & P20

Apart from a tiny bit of exposure difference [at least on my screen] can't tell any meaningfull difference. So apart from handling or pixel peeping both acceptable to me.

Advice Wanted Fuji X-T4 Focusing Question

Solved Finally found out what is going on, very simple when you know. It was a focus check issue. Little did I know the front button on the grip side was assigned to focus check. When I first saw the double box, I did look into the focus check, as I was using that as I have the camera set to...

I Finally Have My Bearings - and They Point to Fuji and Panasonic Full Frame

Interesting as I hope to retire in just over one year, so I decided to try the Fuji X-T4. I got it with the 18-55 kit lens but needed something longer so purchased the Tamron 18-300. I am too used to the super zooms of Panasonic & Olympus Mu-43 cameras I own. Since the only real digital...

Advice Wanted Fuji X-T4 Focusing Question

When using my new X-T4, I keep on getting the focus screen below where the focus points gets inserted inside another box. I press the joystick and it goes back to a single point. But when I point the camera around it often going back to that mode and will not focus on anything till I press in...

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

Just purchased the Tamron 18-300 for my X-T4 as a walk around lens. As long as it is a bit better than the Fuji 18-135 I will be happy. My initial thoughts after owning it for 1/2 hour is I like the zoom range

    Animals Show Birds

One of the most interesting bird sets I have seen in awhile. They remind me of some of the early bird ID books that were sketches but far more detail. When I get the time I will have to look at more of the past shots in this topic. Gives me something to aspire too. Being new to the forum still...

Feel a little guilty posting these as they have already been posted at Mu-43, but the topic looks like it needs a few more spiders.

SmallRig Cage. Increases the weight but makes it a lot easier to hold. I wanted a better left hand grip as well as a larger grip on the right. Purchased this instead of the L Bracket for hand holding Macro\close Up shots once I get a macro lens in the future

Advice Wanted Menu Resume Option, For Trying Different Options

My Menu resets to the top option [top left] every time I go into regardless of where I was. What I like about Mu-43 menu 's in both Panasonic & Oly it that they go back to where ever you were to the same option / page so you can say turn it off or adjust it. Never tried any other camera system...

Advice Wanted Menu Resume Option, For Trying Different Options

I am in the process of trying different menu options and cant seem to find an option to let me go straight back to the place I left off like I do with Mu-43 cameras. The Menu always resets every time I go into it, not where I left off. Means so far I have to remember where I was to turn...

Advice Wanted Shutter Release Buttons for X-T4

For my New X-T4, now I have my extra grip on the way my next most important accessory I need [want] is those nice looking shutter buttons I see screwed into the shutter release threads. From doing some reading I gather I need the ones with the O Ring or they will come out too easily, is this...
