    Leica Leica SL2 - s

Lovely shots! There's something about a wide aperture 35mm lens. I keep wondering whether to get the Oly 17mm f1.2. I know it's only an f2.5 equiv on FF, but that stills gives some decent OOF blur.

I Finally Have My Bearings - and They Point to Fuji and Panasonic Full Frame

Until they decide to quit the consumer imaging business. I’m not saying they will, but I wouldn’t rule it out either. They are a huge Japanese conglomerate and we know imaging is losing money and the big 3 (Sony, Canon, Nikon) are still notably far ahead. Panasonic corporate could quite...

    Stroll Some shots from Oxford

A number of them are stacks of two or three exposure bracketed shots, but other than that I didn't do a lot with them to be honest. The warmth is probably the low sun and British winter! They are all raw processed in LR.

I Finally Have My Bearings - and They Point to Fuji and Panasonic Full Frame

Interesting. I’m just about to retire too so have been thinking about my photo gear to a certain degree as well. I’ve dabbled with multiple systems over the years but I really hate being in the situation of having to choose which gear to take - so I’m 100% Olympus m43 at present. I may weaken...

    Stroll Some shots from Oxford

First sun today here in England in what seemed like forever, so I decided to get out and take some shots. I hadn't visited Oxford for a while, so I thought "why not?". Lots of opportunities for photos for sure, but despite trying, I find Oxford a hard place to like. Maybe it's the buses and the...

Sony Sony a7c -- FF in an a6000 body

Thanks for this. I did have the 35mm f2.8 when I had the a7rii and it is a very nice and very compact lens. But it will only get me to f1.4 equiv on m43 which isn't really where I want to be. I think I need f2 min, ideally f1.8 on FF. That's why I fancied that Samyang 35mm f1.8. It seems...

Sony Sony a7c -- FF in an a6000 body

Thanks for this. I've become very accustomed to shooting in A mode with one dial controlling aperture and the other controlling exp comp. I find myself spinning the exp comp dial a lot to make sure I've got no blown highlights, hence the need for blinkies/zebras. So, two things are important...

    Leica Leica SL2 - s

How can a lens be "too sharp"? :) Surely a little bit of diffusion in PP can tone down the "bite" if you prefer it that way? PS Just been through this thread and I must say that whatever the camera or lens, your photo style is really excellent. Don't sweat the gear too much, I'm sure you'd...
