I'm actually a bit surprised at the positive reaction to this shot. I really was having a difficult time with composition on it. I just couldn't get something that I really liked. All of the shots almost ended up in the trash, but I kept this one back. Thanks for the positivity!

    Pentax Bag for K-1ii

I use whatever I have. Currently I shift bewteen a LowePro and Tenbo backpack for hiking. Around town it is a Timbuk2 with an insert. That can hold the camera with lens and the 60-250. I don't know how much larger the 70-200 is over the 60-250.

Micro 4/3 Your Treasured M43 'Sleeper Lens"?

When I owned it, I was always happy and/or surprised by the results of the Sigma 30 1.4. It was great middle ground between the 25s and 42/45s and really fast.

Philosophy Interesting article about photographic expressionism.

First, I would like to thank @JensM for sharing this. It leaves me with a great starting point for some research. While I somewhat agree that there shouldn't be a need to have a title/genre/name/whatever, in practice it is simply necessary. As curators, collectors, students, etc. need something...

Your Top 3 for December 2022

I really didn't shoot much this month. All of these three came in the last two days of the month. Hopefully others had a more satisfying photographic month. Please share!

GAS What was your best purchase of 2022?

I did buy some lens back in the spring. However, the best photographic things I bought was either a trip to see my son in Oregon in which we camped for a long weekend on the Washington coast, or some Musou black fabric from Japan.

This is a favorite of mine. I'm having a hard time getting a print made that I like, though. The tonality just isn't transferring to the prints very well.

This I would love to try, as well. I am about to sell off a few things and rearrange my current Pentax gear. If I found a great deal on the 21, I would probably jump at it.

I do like the medium format looks that the Fuji and Hasselblad give with that sensor. That would be a fun set up to play with for awhile.
