Day 2 outtake - just a little too flat as a B&W image.

Too cold to go out today if I didn't have too. So I looked for a good image indoors. Someone mentioned fuji colors up above. This was done with a Fuji 400H film simulation and I really like how the colors came out, especially the guitar.

On the rare occasions I travel I usually just take the Leica M 240 & one of my 50's. The next time I might simply take only my Super Ikonta.

Still plan on using it but oh my am I getting bit on the a** by the vignetting of the 7Artisans 50/1.1 - learning to deal with that and finding out if it's inherent or in the hood & etc I'm using will be worth it.

Returned the Canon 7. They snarked a bit about finding a cheaper repair person but I use this guy for everything. They were good about it once they looked at the test roll though. So I got my money back and invested a small part of it in a bottle of Famous Grouse to drown my sorrows a bit ;)

Ouch. DAG is saying a full overhaul is what's needed and he's way behind on top of it. 350 is way more than I'm wanting to spend on a Canon 7 :( Looks like talking to the shop about a return is in order for tomorrow.

Test roll shows some capping and slow shutter speeds. At the price a CLA is not really a problem so I've an email into DAG.

Most of the ones from Japan are already $200+ so that price grabbed my attention 😎

So instead of getting another lens I really didn't need, I got a nice old camera that I really didn't need... A beautiful Canon 7 for only $85 (!) at a local camera shop/lab. They do all my film processing and scanning and this was on the shelf this morning. With my Canon 50/1.4 & Jupiter 12...

The marks have to be enormous to make a real difference in my experience. That should be a glorious lens. Enjoy!

Sweet! Reminds me of the Zeiss Contessa 35 & Agfa Karat 36 I used to have. The Zeiss was prettier, but the Agfa was a more practical day to day shooter. Just handled better.

Well, to my weird color vision, the G ones all look significantly better. Don't know if that helps any, but there you go. The grass image is especially noticeable to me.

Would have liked to have given this both cool and laugh reactions.

Hmm. Perhaps try the main Raw Therapee until you figure out what's choking CMake? (I am old enough to remember when make was a new innovation ;) so I'm not fond of CMake :D ) sudo apt install rawtherapee-data -y

Smells like a dependency isn't there. There are a tiny handful of things that are easier deal with on Windog, dependencies are one of them

Just wish they made an "all in one" that had a transparency head for the scanner. If I could scan negs AND print them semi-economically like these EcoTanks promise, I'd be a happy camper.

Found these shots from a John Doe (of X) solo show back in the early '00's in Madison Wi: Pretty sure it was a Voigtlander Bessa R1 & a Canon 50/1.8. Fuji Superia "Supermarket" 400 film.

My favorite is the two bath Diafine. Lasts forever. My current batch is 5 years old. Fixed time, insensitive to temperature variations, Usually get a 2 stop speed boost - I used to do PlusX at EI400. Pour in the A bath & agitate for 3 minutes. Pour it back in its jug and then pour in the B...
