Added a Sigma 45mm f2.8 "L-Mount" lens for the Leica CL. I haven't had an autofocus lens for the CL in over a year and a half. It's working out very well. It's super sharp and along with the CL writes a very nice image. Although the hood that comes with it is attractive I have a shorter...

'Decided to try a "short" neck strap for my RX100 M5. I wanted something that would work well for hikes and snowshoeing. Longer straps tend to make the camera bounce around for me, even a compact camera like the RX100. I first tried a wrist strap but found pulling the camera out of a jacket...

Hi Mike - Well, keeping in mind that the Summarit series are the "entry-level" Leica m-mount lenses, :rolleyes-74:, I did pretty well with the price. The new versions run around $1,995. A great lens. Super sharp. It writes very nice images. I bought it to use primarily on my CL but I also...

Picked up a Summarit 35mm f2.4 lens in incredible condition at a very good price on KEH. I absolutely marvel at the hood and lens cap design. Haven't gotten out much with it yet based on the weather but hope to very soon. . . . David

    Passing GAS

Christilou - I've had a CL now for almost a year. It's a great camera and with the Leica M to L lens adapter it handles more "traditional" lenses wonderfully. It can even read coding and pass that information off to the CL body. Just remember the APS-C crop factor. Something I forget about all...

I wanted a short strap for my X100F and found this on Amazon. I'm a real fan of the cloth A&A straps that run a bit longer than 35", for me that's a really good length. This braided strap is referred to as the "short" version of a longer strap and runs about 29". I have a couple of wrist...

Anyone have experience with trail cameras?

We bought an inexpensive trail camera a while back to try and figure out who and/or what was walking around the side of our townhouse nightly. Well, 'never really figured that out but got this wondrous image I like to call "Skunk in a Snowstorm". :rolleyes-74: . . . David

A "new to me" X100F. As I mentioned on another thread, I've had other incarnations of the X100 before and they just didn't "click" with me. However, the X100F and I are getting along very well. . . . David

I wanted a faster 50mm FoV - APS-C, (35mm) m-mount. Picked up a Zeiss Distagon 35mm, f.14 at KEH. Looks new. Very happy so far. It is a bit long in size but very easy to handle. Shown on my CL in front of the R-D1s. . . . David

    My travel kit, what's yours?

Hmmmm. . . depends. We just returned from an unexpected trip based on an ill family member. My kit was a Domke 803 bag, a 12" MacBook and a Fuji X100T along with a couple of cable adapters to read SD cards for my iPhone SE and the MacBook. For what little I photographed it proved to work out...

Andrew - that's a nice card reader. The C-USB "thing" is something I'm just getting used too. My Macbook 12" refurb I just got has the C-USB one port setup. I got a card reader on Amazon for it and it works fine. However, finding an aftermarket charger has been a bit more of a task than I...

For me they allow the option of releasing the shutter with the soft part of my finger instead of the end of the finger. I have a very bad habit of "jabbing" the shutter anyway. These seem to help even if I'm using the tip of the finger. Besides, they look oh-so-cool. My favorites...

Cosmos Lens Bags and a Silver "Sharpie"

Thanks, Luke. There are other bodies too. (X-T1 is back at Fuji with a flickering screen.) I happened to have a real fondness for the XPro 1 and it was in use with the 27/2.8 at the time. Yup, the "Sharpie" actually worked. It was my wife's idea. She hasn't stopped grinning since I put the...

Yes, I use 16gb and 32gb PNY class 10 cards pretty much exclusively in my Fuji XF-1 and X20 as well as a couple of Canon 5D cameras. I've had great luck with the 32gb cards shooting HD video in the 5D Mark II too. 'Never has a problem with them. Good luck. . . . David
