My X-Pro3 just crashed completely after taking a picture, the LED kept flashing and I had to remove the battery completely in order to get it working again. The image by the way has been saved on the SD card. Could just be a random coincidence or maybe related to the firmware update.

Good they are sorting this out - at least that's what I'm hoping. I didn't like I was forced to fully enable location settings just being able to use the app - it should've been an optional setting for people who actually want to use the geo location setting.

I agree with Darmok, since it's also using X-Trans IV, you won't get any actual, real improvement in terms of image quality. The new processing engine is what might make a difference, in combination with the new battery you should be getting a significant upgrade in terms of battery life...

Thanks for bringing this up, personally I wouldn't have checked for a new firmware. While it doesn't really offer any real improvements for the X-Pro3, it is indeed required to work with the new app.
