    Fuji X100V annoyances

Simply pre-ordering seems to be the only approach as of now. In an interview with DP Review a number of weeks ago, Fujifilm stated they already increased production volume of X100V but they still can't keep up with the demand. The few times I've read about people who bought a new one, those also...

    Fuji Fuji "major" firmware updates...

My X-Pro3 just crashed completely after taking a picture, the LED kept flashing and I had to remove the battery completely in order to get it working again. The image by the way has been saved on the SD card. Could just be a random coincidence or maybe related to the firmware update.

Fuji Fuji release new app finally

Good they are sorting this out - at least that's what I'm hoping. I didn't like I was forced to fully enable location settings just being able to use the app - it should've been an optional setting for people who actually want to use the geo location setting.

    Fuji X-S20 and XF 8mm f/3.5 announced

I agree with Darmok, since it's also using X-Trans IV, you won't get any actual, real improvement in terms of image quality. The new processing engine is what might make a difference, in combination with the new battery you should be getting a significant upgrade in terms of battery life...

    Fuji X-S20 and XF 8mm f/3.5 announced

It doesn't seem to be the case: If you take a look at the technical specifications, you'll only find numbers for mechanical and electronic shutters, on other cameras which actually feature EFC, Fujifilm stated dedicated numbers for EFC. Another interesting thing: The X-S20 features the...

Fuji Two new Voigtländer lenses for X-Mount

As said earlier, I am not sure as of why the X-Pro2 isn't really supported. Maybe you could contact Voigtländer / Cosina about it, but I guess if it would be a simple task, they would've included the XP2 already, since it's kind of a no-brainer to especially include this camera for their MF...

Fuji Fuji release new app finally

So I just updated the firmware of my XP3, pairing the camera to my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy Fold 4) worked not only absolutely flawless but was also very fast. I only did some quick test shots using the remote function, which again worked essentially without delay. There are some sad news...

Fuji Waiting (im)patiently for the 8mm f/3.5 announcement

The price has been also a let down for me. Since the lens looked to fit quite well into their "Fujicron" line of lenses, I was expecting a retail price of somewhere between EUR 400 and EUR 500. Inflation be damned let it even be EUR 550 or something. However the European price is set to not less...

Fuji Fuji release new app finally

Just a heads up: I haven't tried it myself, but it seems that cameras need a firmware update in order to work with the new app. It also seems like only X-Trans IV (and the two newest GFX) cameras got an update: https://fujifilm-x.com/global/support/download/firmware/cameras/

    Fuji Fuji "major" firmware updates...

Thanks for bringing this up, personally I wouldn't have checked for a new firmware. While it doesn't really offer any real improvements for the X-Pro3, it is indeed required to work with the new app.

    Fuji X-S20 and XF 8mm f/3.5 announced

I will try the app for sure, the old one was fairly lackluster to say the very least. Of course I am also very interested in the lens since it was first mentioned, however it is much more expensive than I would've liked - I actually thought it would be somewhere around 450 to 500 USD. With the...

Fuji Fun with Film Simulation 'Recipes'

Classic Negative seems to be quite polarizing, some people hate it, most people seem to love it - but it seems there isn't something inbetween. My own "everyday" Classic Neg recipes would be Superia Xtra 400 and maybe Nomadic Mood - but that one can be a bit more tricky than the Xtra 400. It's...

Fuji Your Fuji photo editor of choice?

I am using DXO PhotoLab, version 5 to be exact. This software has been my go-to image processing software since I switched to Micro Four Thirds and upgraded to V5 right away when DXO finally announced X-Trans support with that version. For my very basic style of processing, it is more than...

Fuji Two new Voigtländer lenses for X-Mount

I also don't know exactly why the X-Pro2 isn't supported, their whole X-Mount line-up would go really well with that camera. From what I've heard, Fujifilm made some changes with their communication protocolls between the X-Pro2 and X-T2, which causes issues. But it's still odd, since...

If somebody is still in the market for a new X-Pro3, it seems like you might need to hurry up: First reported in late December '22, some stored started listing that camera as being discontinued, now US camera specialist B&H also list that one as being discountinued. I checked my go-to camera...

    Pentax K-3 III Monochrome Sensor!

I actually got caught by surprise with the announcement of this camera and sort of think it's funny that it pretty much collides with Leica's announcement of the M11 Monochrom. While I am not in a market for the Pentax personally, I think it's great another manufacturer starts offering a B&W...

I think you should essentially get 1:1 sooc JPG files out of the X-RAW Studio software: It fully uses the camera to do all the processing, which is the primary reason why it actually needs to be connected in order to get the software working. It also is one of the reasons why X-RAW Studio is...

That lens has actually been my first choice when it came to which lens I should've spent my money for. Fuji The Fujifilm X series image thread.

Hi Jason, for me the hybrid viewfinder was one of the major selling points for Fujifilm, especially the X-Pro series. Fuji Fuji X-T5 Announced

I am not in the market for a new camera, but I have to say the X-T5 looks very interesting indeed and in my opinion Fujifilm has done a nice job to differentiate this new model from the X-H2 flagships.
