Today I decided to take some photos with my X100V during my lunch time walk. I was once again trying to set zone focus via the near/far AF range limiter (this time I set it to 1.7m) and wanted to see how effective that was. I generally don't like walking around with my camera in my hand near...

What you said about seeing most of the possibilities a long time ago reminds me of something I saw a couple of days ago. It was a post from the Vancouver Street Photography Collective where they're hosting a walking tour around downtown Vancouver to show good places to shoot street. Like you...

I'm glad to see that you're getting out there and shooting. Do you feel more comfortable shooting at night? Less anxiety? I'll probably be doing the same in another month or two as the days get shorter.

Love this shot. How does it look in colour? Is the graffiti too distracting? I'm imagining that it would look quite wonderful with muted colours.

What happened to the bicycle industry (UK)?

Ah, yeah, if I lived somewhere flat I'd be more likely to ride a non-e bike. I'm in the Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada. Lots of hills unless you're riding along the water. That's nice. Our e-bikes weigh about 65 lbs w/o the battery attached. Hmm...that just gave me a thought...

What happened to the bicycle industry (UK)?

You made some good points and I'd just like to add a couple of things: the more budget-friendly ebikes typically use in-hub motors so they shouldn't add any strain to the chain. But if it's an ebike with the motor integrated into the cranks (ie: mid-drive) then yes it will definitely add stress...

What happened to the bicycle industry (UK)?

Batteries alone account for a significant portion of an e-bike's price. A £500 battery isn't uncommon. I'm on an ebike group here in Canada. There were a couple of different posts from guys who were in the 125-150kg weight range that were looking for a bike. The owner of the bike company...

A tribute to my wife, LG Photography

Oh my God, I read about the incident earlier this week but didn't realize that was your wife. I'm so, so sorry to hear what happened to her. And good on you for letting those boys know that they aren't to blame. What a terrible trauma that must have be for them.

    GAS Dear Giary!

Yup, that's the revelation I experienced many years ago when I bought my first mirrorless, a Panasonic G1, and was amazed at the consistency of in-focus eye lashes compared to what I was getting from my Nikon D300.

Vancouver, Canada. I'm back to shooting street in Vancouver with my X100V. Went out today to take advantage of the orange light due to the smoke from wildfires in southern BC. But I've still got lots of shots from my eastern Canada trip so that's what I'll mostly continue to post over the next...

    Filter Disintegrated Wrist Strap

I'm not judging or anything but how many people here let their camera dangle from a wrist strap? I use a wrist strap with all my my cameras (none of them are tiny, smallest is the X100V) but I always hold the camera in my hand. I use the strap solely as a backup in case the camera slips out of...

This guy was inexplicably sitting on the street with a sign that translates to: "the most beautiful women are those who are plump." I don't know how many women swiped right.
