BIF's with the Gh6

While I am waiting for the G9II (which will be my birding camera), I am left tuning the Gh6 for birds. I saw this one duck that was doing a lot of wing flapping. I switched from a very high shutter speed to a lower one to get the wings blurred.

As I fine tune my Gh6 (still learning), I find the sensor of very high quality (this is a crop taken at about 50'):

I would change my 2 G9's to one G9II. That being said, don't underestimate the Gh6 as a stills camera. Loving mine. Did you know you can shoot video with the Gh6 (soon to have the BM recorder for thier raw to play nice with resolve)....:)

Have not been doing a lot of imaging lately, but yesterday went to the Pond with a friend. While my stills are better, these are a few cropped frames from the h265 30 fps 6K from the G9. Frames have been cropped.

Was out birding today, and the Dragons were nearby.

So I was shooting a video of some Killdeer , and a Kingfisher flew by. Shutter speed was 1/60 second so I panned. Here is a frame from the 6K video:

While often thought of as a video camera, the Gh6 does industrial stills that work for me.

I am running 64 gigs of 3600 ram, and its runs Divinci Resolve Studio, Presonus Studio 1 PRO, and PS/LR well. If you were running a machine with multiple GPU's and perhaps lots and lots of TB storage (I have 30 TB of various types) then perhaps 128 gig might be necessary. But probably only...

Adams was and still is my hero, his images made me fall in love with landscapes....I take a trip a year to the SW for reptiles and the landscapes...

So during the "shutdown" I visited a few others sites (yes, father I know I've sinned). A relatively small Giant House Spider in an old flower pot. One of the fastest Arachnids, large females (1.5" body) run about a meter in a second - but not for long just a second or two. NOT aggressive and keep bugs under control. Induced species like the non-medically significant HOBO.

Several years ago a few Mason Bees showed up in our breeze way. Then I added the tubes, this year almost 100 filled, and the busy bees are still working. Very non-agressive,and very polite.

Normally in these kind of lighting conditions my G9 produces significant noise at ISO 6400. Here is an example of the new LR noise reduction.
