Everlasting Daisy growing wild by the road side. Just one in a sea of normal white blooms. Its colour was even more striking than the photo shows.

Kangaroo Paws. I find these very hard to show at their best. Stacked image, but focus still has issues with their diffuse and hairy texture.

Yes, although I use an Apple lap top I would not bother with it for desktop use.

I have really only been using three tools recently, so cannot give a wide experience. Other than in-camera, I use OM Workshop and Affinity Photo 2. I find Affinity Photo can do most stitching, stacking and basic astro stacking stuff very nicely. That's not to say other software might do it...

Yes it was a stack, from memory between 6 and 10, using a tripod. The green sprout appeared in one of last years plant pots and I was curious to see what developed; then the caterpillar came along.

Completely spontaneous and yes quite close, she knew about it afterwards. As the EXIF data shows, it was taken on my 25mm/f1.4

Thanks, I'm glad to say that the green thing survived and produced small grass like flowers. The image was stacked from about 6 frames.
