Hi Tili ;)
I think You forget in Your thoughts about one super important thing, which is color science.
Fuji colors are in my opinion no#1 in industry when it comes to portrait photography (skin tones are just perfect in any film sim)
With Fuji RAW files post process/editing is very easy and...
Thank You all for kind words!
Yeah, because of the wind at some point flash + tripod almost drop into the sea, but I manage to grab it in last second - it was close haha! 😅
To diffuse flash I'm using Godox 80x80cm softbox
Stars of the show: humble TTArtisan 35/1.4 and my wife Anna 😁
I would say, rendering is not that bad as for 73$ lens I guess?
And.. im starting to like using manual focusing during photo shoot.
It makes whole shooting experience more immersive, and tactile. Interesting.
davidzvi I do admit, that differences in colors between any camera system are very subtle, but in my case it's mostly about skin tones, and this is area where changes are most visible and crucial for me.
Isn't it that we all chase and seek for those subtle differences in final output of our...
Wow, it is first time I hear that Mitakon lenses can take some damage by just using them.
There is common opinion on internet, that fully manual lenses are basically indestructible 😅 (very, very well made - no AF motors etc)
But I will take Your words for granted, it will only ensure me to...
Hard to not agree with everything You wrote, Mitakon 35/0.95 is very strong competition for CV 35/0.9, but when I would pick up one premium manual lens for my Fuji camera, I would always choose Voigtlander lenses simply because they have full electronic communication with the camera - at least...
I guess this unique lens has passed unnoticed in here:
Hi doobs :)
I think You complicate Your post process for no particular reason when it comes to final result (final image)
Unless You working with thousands of photos per week, then I don't understand such workflow procedure 😏
I do agree, that 16-80mm (24-120mm in FF) is great range for travel photography, but imho IQ from XF 16-80/4 is good enough for printing in max 15x23cm @300 dpi (maybe 20x30cm)
If You want to print on larger paper, Tamron 17-70/2.8 has way more resolution (especially in corners) :)
I've got this lens over 6 months, so I think it's long enough to give You my thoughts about this stellar prime ;)
This will be user/practical review, from portrait photographer perspective.
First of all, I will write down without any hesitation, that this is one of the best (if not...
Hi Bobby :)
Perhaps these YT videos will help You to get an idea, what is like to shoot in 40mm FL:
For me 40mm has quite interesting perspective.
Although I do already own stellar XF 23/1.4 R WR LM, which as You can see gives very similar results, so it is hard for me to justify buying...
Of course, as soon as I get an answer from the Fuji service, I will let you guys know (y)
Meanwhile I found an interesting article about Fuji AF issues.
It describes exactly the same problem as we do in here...
Oh, like I thought.. I need wait for site admin to fix it for me :) Thanks for info!
Ukraine is country I rally like to visit in the future (especially Pripyat @ Chernobyl, the "ghost town")
But right now it is war zone.. I do rally hope Your loved ones in Ukraine stays out...
2 weeks ago I did contact with Fujifilm HQ in Tokyo and send them this email:
Second YT video from my previous post is taken by me, and in this video it is me testing X-S10 + XF 23/1.4 R WR LM
Next day, Fujifilm Tokyo forward my email to Fujifilm Poland, where Maciej Markowski Product Manager...
Crap... same story, I did as You told me but get same warning message.
I guess it is probably some sort of security mechanism to protect against spam (?)
I did send PM to Kevin ;) hopefully he can fix it, so I can have direct link in my signature - as You do.
Anyway thank You for tips!
I was Lightroom user for many years, but after I switch from Canon to Fuji I did try Capture One.
Well.. it not took me long, to see how much potential there is in this software.
Capture One's engine is just superior in controlling highlight than LR, and C1 is way more precise and advanced in...
Hi everyone ;)
My name is Maciek, I found this forum by accident, but after reading couple of threads I think I like to stay in here for little longer.
I'm photographic enthusiast constantly looking for perfection in my photo art and perfection in my camera gear setup 😅
