I would need to remove an ugly gate if I move the crop down to fit rule or thirds but I will give it a try. Normally when I make images I do frame in rule of thirds most of the time. I didn't keep those for these images though as I don't always feel like fitting within that after I made them.

Sony Well, the cat's out of the bag now. Sony releases pay-to-play firmware for A7 IV

It is my unfortunate curiosity to enjoy a large variety of photographic interests, else my life would be a lot simpler, cheaper and (maybe) less stressful. I do shot very fast moving subjects but I use HHHR and HR often for landscapes, macro and low light ... Of course it won't help with moving...

Birds Birds in flight photos, post here

Nothing really amazing, just a couple of shots testing out the Olympus 40-150mm f 2.8 PRO and even at 150mm the reach is limited for birds in flight. This one is cropped about 66%. Heading into the storm, hold on to your cap cap't'n.

    Nature "Show" Mushrooms

Gave it another try with a 2nd stack I made after the top one while I tried to make sure I get a better focus bracket. It captured more DoF with a few extra shots for the 3rd mushroom on the right side but I had trouble with lots of errors. Took about half an hour to clean the image up. I hope...

Sony Well, the cat's out of the bag now. Sony releases pay-to-play firmware for A7 IV

It could be, I won't deny that it's an opinion that is biased towards what could be done better should be done better but that's a very consumer bias I guess. My mistake, I was wrong on a1 not being updated with it. I would agree but then Panasonic offered not just High Resolution in camera...

Someone grab a shovel .... Or a blower. Though this was the kind of stuff I loved doing when I was around 8 years old in autumn: make a huge pile of leaves and jump in it with no regard to sharpy, pointy or hardy things inside ... "Swim" in ignorance bliss :P

Sony Well, the cat's out of the bag now. Sony releases pay-to-play firmware for A7 IV

I'm not particularly surprised, not just Sony but most of the manufacturers are going to milk the cow for profitability ... It's the capitalistic way. People are taking notice from other industry on how easy and lucrative it is to extract money (cough mobile gaming cough). What worries me is...

Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

2 weeks ago went out to try to get used to walking at night, I stopped doing that a few years ago and I do miss the quietness. And it's a good time to test out the IBIS, High ISO and HHHR and the (still) new Noise Reduction in Lightroom. She doesn't like the thickness and the weight of the LED...

It was a pain in the butt to get the shot, low light, squirmish little fellow AF-S on OM-1 seems to have fallen down a manhole for no apparent reason, and I was running out of time before I was late for logging in at work.

Advice Wanted Your quick opinion on 4/3rds

Thank you for the info, you saved my bacon because I had the focus coupling wrong and switched between the SWD and Mark I. While the weight is still under the Olympus 100-400mm it's not as bad as my past Tamron 150-500mm. I have been reading up everything I can find in DPReview and Mu4/3 Forum...

Advice Wanted Your quick opinion on 4/3rds

I have owned the Olympus 14-54mm f 2.8-3.5 Mark I and 50-200mm f 2.8-3.5 Mark I 5 years ago and I loved them to bits, especially given my very limited budget I had at that time. Actually the 50-200mm Mark I is what got me into wildlife photography which I live for more then anything else these...

Advice Wanted Your quick opinion on 4/3rds

I understand your sentiment, I was thinking of the old lens also as a backup if my main lens would fail and not have a huge gap in the focal range. Looking up the 40-150mm f 2.8 PRO on LCE, MPB and Park Cameras seems to be around 600 to 850 £ from decent condition to like new. The first...

Haro ... I would like to ask your personal opinion on getting and using the Olympus Zuiko Digital ED 50-200mm f 2.8-3.5 (in my case to use in OM-1)? Street Street photography (Image thread)

All the houses there start at 300.000 £ price, they come with 1 or two garages and have their own driveways, the streets are wide enough and very few people would need to park next to the sidewalk. It's one of the better built new neighbourhoods in terms of space and planning but it's not...
