Hi barteej, thanks for the push. After looking at these three, I think the problem is a bit of overexposure I'm seeing. Thanks again, Joe DSCF0889 by joe radza, on Flickr DSCF0876 by joe radza, on Flickr DSCF0875 by joe radza, on Flickr

    Fuji X100 Macro

Hi Rico, First of all thanks for all the work and knowledge you have done for this community. I've been using the X100 without any issues for about 6 months until yesterday. I was wandering around town taking random flower shots and it was quite windy. Since I wasn't doing anything real critical...

    Fuji I <3 new york

66 years in NY and it's always great to see a beautiful interpretation. I think I've been on the tram once. Love the escalator shot. Younger days downtown, now more often than not way uptown. Either way, always something to find inspiration in. Keep up the great work! Joe

    Fuji X100S + 58mm Tele-Converter *SAMPLES*

You're far too modest, you could shoot most anything except maybe sports with a pinhole, haha and even then I wouldn't bet against you. Joe

Fuji How do people use multi metering?

I tend to use average metering for people and multi for general shooting but use exp comp or chimp to check. Spot is very reliable when appropriate. Joe

    Fuji General X-Chat

Thanks for that Rico. The metering differences have been the biggest challenge in using the X100. I lean toward average, but have been using all three. I still use the old maxim of "exposing for the highlights and let the shadows fall where they may." There never is just one way or one way all...

Fuji Introducing 'Coffee with Rico Pfirstinger, Fuji X-Pert'

Fuji And so the family grows...

Congrats, I have and use the hood but, in all honesty it's more for looks and protection. In all my years of shooting I haven't found a hood to really help with flare. Shoot into the sun you'll get flare which is ok. At an oblique angle I'd say almost all modern lenses will not show any...

    Fuji Accessories

P3263801 (1024x768) by joe radza, on Flickr I've been looking for the ultimate leather strap for my X100. My wife surprised me with this gem. It's an adjustable strap for one of her Louis Vuitton handbags. The strap is 47" long and costs more than most of my analog cameras did. It's a beauty...

Fuji New Posts seems pretty useless

Amin, I do't want to send anyone somewhere else BUT, on fujixseries if you are reading a thread it shows say 10 posts for example, the next time you go to the site if there are more posts the number is highlighted and takes you to the next unread post. Works great. It's the only forum I've ever...

Fuji Some pros think the X100S is da bomb

The difference between Zack and Huff is simple. Zack Arias is a full time professional photographer and Steve Huff and his posters act like teen age girls giggling over the latest whatever.

No one's that lucky. BTW just west of the 33rd Street station is a great vantage point that puts the Empire State Bldg. and the Chrysler Bldg. on either side of the glass Citi Bldg. New England Snow?

Hi Biro, I live just outside NYC and our 1"-3" prediction turned into 8" or so. Here's a stitched panorama from a local park. I couldn't get the sweep panorama to work (too unsteady). Fuji Looking to join the Fujiverse

I agree with Phoenix with one caveat. Before you make your final decision, see if you can try out any the Fuji's. If you decide on the fixed lens versions, you might go that route and keep the Canon, especially if its' resale value is below what you need. Joe
