You win, I give up, that's the most insane and amazing Bird-in-Flight shot anyone will ever get. Just incredible, well done!

That first shot is so great, I'm going to put something together today near one of the feeders. Yesterday was so wild, he was all over the place, back and forth, so I will see what I can do to give him natural places to rest.

Thanks Bill, interestingly enough, we have a spot, a stick off a bush they love to sit on, I just had terrible light when he was on that stick and he had terrible shadows across him. I'll keep an eye out to catch him on that branch again this week. He's been zooming around the past few days...

On the topic of Hummingbirds, this Male Rufous came by while I was out on the deck having lunch and put on a show in the shade.

The local Rufous Male decided to show his true colors today, I heard he was around at some of the neighbors houses the past few days and he came by today while I had the camera out.

    Northern Lights

We saw dancing lights of green and pink earlier in the night, I was just trying to get one good shot of it behind these mountains. This was taken just outside of Ellensburg, WA where we very rarely ever get to see anything on the horizon, but last night, it was overhead, giant rivers of green...

We had an incredible show here as well. I'm a bit bummed I missed the huge burst, but I caught a few from around our property.

So, the deep low tone buzz of the wings, shorter tail feathers, and small size, I believe this is a Female Calliope Hummingbird that just arrived here in Eastern, WA. If anyone has more knowledge, I posted some flying shots over in the Birds In Flight thread.

We don't have Allens, we have Anna's on the other side of the mountains, Rufous were obvious last year, the male at least and then we also have Calliope, and this one was very small, and the Calliope females have very similar looks to this one. Rufous females usually breed in April, from what...

At first I labeled this one as an Anna's, but now I think it's a Female Rufous. Bill can you confirm my thoughts on this? I'm still learning so much, I initially assumed Anna's because of the green until I looked up the differences in them.

The hummingbirds have arrived here in Eastern, WA. We don't have them year round like they do out West across the mountains so it's always a welcome sight when they show up. This one was feeding right in front of me while I was sitting on the deck so I grabbed the camera slowly and snapped a...

A dark and rainy day here in the PNW, so I shot a few birds from my home office window, just open enough to get a few shots of some White-crowned Sparrows playing around in the branches of a bush out by our fence.

It's a dark and stormy day here in Washington, and I set up my camera and sat at the window with the screen removed, just open enough to get some photos of these White-crowned Sparrows playing in the rain, and to my surprise, a couple of mid air shots actually turned out alright.

Just a silly Killdeer arriving to our property to build a nest, most likely on the road out.

No, not yet, they just arrived in town in the past 24 hours. This one was acting like there was a nest already but then flying around the house looking for a good spot. It kept going and sitting in a bare dirt spot in the field, and then moving to different spots.

I feel like this is just a Killdeer being a Killdeer. They just arrived, have not even made nests yet, fly around all crazy and then act all dramatic if you're within 100ft of them.

The Killdeer are officially here for nesting, most likely along the edges of the gravel road, but hopefully this little one finds a good spot out of the way. They showed up in full force yesterday, flying all around the house.

I've been out of town, without my camera for the past week, and this evening I finally got out to go find some birds, and this little House Wren was sitting on a bush along the path to our back door. Not an award winning shot, but not terrible either for the crazy high ISO. Denoise in...

This morning I saw 4 new bird species I had never seen before, just because I saw movement in the bushes, and figured I would try to see what they were. These are two of them, a White-Breasted Nuthatch (According to the Merlin App) and a Western Meadowlark.

This morning, on my way home from photographing Bluebirds, I spotted this Northern Harrier sitting on the hillside, and by the time I could swing the camera around, it took flight and I snapped a few shots at a much higher shutter speed than I needed.

That's fantastic, it's so wild to me how far so many birds travel twice a year. Not the best shot, slower shutter speed than I should have had, but such an interesting and distinct pattern in this, what I'm pretty certain is a Standard Red-Tail Hawk. It just had such dark feathers on it's back, it almost didn't even look real.

This morning's Golden Hour visitor to the big dead tree. Can you guys see the strange look to the blue sky around this Red-Tail? This morning, while out hoping for clear enough skies to catch a shot or two of the eclipse, even just partial, I noticed a different hawk like bird up in the dead tree. Fantastic shot! Thank you all for the advice, I was using Exposure Comp at +1.0 on all of those shots. In most of the conditions here, Auto ISO seems to work well for me, but on those cloudy days, I'll have to set it to what I want and run with that. Also, I found a somewhat alright shot...

These shots of the Ospreys landing turned out alright. I think in the future on days like this, I'm just going to set the ISO to 400 or 640 and shoot with that so it's not messing with the exposure too much.

I went out driving around to see if I could catch a few shots of the Ospreys, and boy were they out today. This one Osprey flew directly overhead and I nearly fell backwards trying to get this shot. This was only cropped vertically to 3:2 Aspect Ratio, no width crop at all. Random side...
