GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

I just treated myself to a small retirement gift. I re-aquired the XF27mmf2.8 R WR for a small walkabout option with my X-T5.

This is the clip that I replaced the metal buckle with. Much easier one handed release and doesn't scratch up furniture.

Glad to hear you like it. I have the Rugged-wear version also. A modification I did to mine (in addition to partially covering the velcro) was to replace the metal buckle with a polycarbonate snap buckle. I can try to send a link if you're interested.

The pouches on the ends are quite useful, and have flaps to secure contents. The front pocket however has no flap so I have to be thoughtful about what I put in there. I’ve had two f5xb’s and the Velcro divider attachment (the fuzzy part inside the bag) wore out and since there are no other...

Curious about your thoughts on the Rok 75 after some use.

I sometimes use it for an XT3/5 with two small primes. Bag in a bag style as well.

Yes, the WR was also a driving force since moving over to Sigma for my wide and normal zooms (still have the 70-300). I wanted something small and WR to slap on the XT3/5 that could always easily be in the bag. Plus I've always liked the images from this lens. It might not have fairy dust but...

Just replaced the XF 35mm f2 that I unwisely sold earlier this year. I'm happy to have this lens again for my small walkaround when a zoom is too much.

I have received the Tenba Fulton V2 14L Camo. Here are my first impressions: Although I haven't taken it on a trip anywhere yet, I believe its going to work out nicely as a combination photo / take everywhere bag for travel and hiking. It seems to be made very well and is quite comfortable...

I have sinned and ordered another camera bag. I'll ask forgiveness after it arrives, LOL. It's the Tenba Fulton V2 14L Camo. From the description and reviews it looks to be my ideal 1C2L travel backpack that is 50/50, camera gear and random personal stuff.

SmallRig X-T5 L-Shape Grip for FUJIFILM X-T5 This thing makes the XT5 feel like I should've been born with it in my hand. Light as a feather and 1/3 the price of the Fujifilm version.

Arrived. Now to go through all the menus to customize it to my liking. Out early in the am to give it a test. The buttons and dials feel so much more refined than my XT3.

I should be receiving my new X-T5 tomorrow. I’ve been having an internal battle with wanting a body with stabilization since I’ve been switching my lens over to non-OIS models. I currently have an XT30-II and an XT3. One of them has to go to help finance the T5. Looks like the T30 is on the...

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

As much as I wanted to like it, after taking it outside the house a couple of times and putting it through some real life shooting I realized I wasn't getting anything acceptably sharp at any aperture, any SS, any distance, even in the center of the frame. Back to the big river it went. Bummer...

Got the itch for a manual focus normal FOV lens and this one seemed to fit the requirement. Seems quite sharp as long as I shoot above f/1.4 and not aim directly into any bright light sources. Jury is still out but I like the fit on both my XE3 and XT30-II.

Ditto. I have the 18-50 also, and 30/1.4. Anxiously awaiting the 10-18 I pre-ordered a week or so ago. Fingers crossed for both of us that they start shipping soon.

I pre-ordered the newly released Sigma 10-18 for Fuji-X mount to pair up with my Sigma 18-50 and XT30-II. Now for the long wait. I originally posted this in the wrong thread

Yes, bags are the worst. I've had to start stashing some of them in luggage until I figure out what to do with the ones I really don't need (but which ones are they?). I like the TTMM bags. They are quite light and durable. Just wish they'd make them look a bit more, . . . .utilitarian?

I just received the TTArtisan 27/2.8 for Fuji XF. Sooooooo much quieter autofocus. Got some testing to do but looks really happy on my XE3. Might be my new EDC kit if it works out.

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

I've been evaluating my Fuji gear recently in an attempt to scale things back, . . minimize so to speak. I found myself frustrated that I had 3 zooms and 7 primes. I even placed an order for an X100V with plans to replace some of the primes with that. But then I realized that I've bought and...

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

I'm hoping it will be a nice 1C1L walk around solution. I sometimes find 23mm too wide and the 35mm too tight. The little 27mm seems to be a good compromise but I wanted an f/1.4

GAS GAS: Please Share your Latest Acquisitions Big and Small

I just purchased the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for my X cameras. Have not yet been able to take it out shooting but a few random shots around the house seem promising. Feels great on XT3 or XT-30ii. Autofocus is plenty fast enough. I thought the lack of an aperture ring would be a show stopper but it’s...

I upgraded from 55-200 to the 70-300 and never looked back. One of my best lenses. I found the best results setting the IOS to “continuous” FWIW.

Think Tank Retrospective 5 version 2. Needed something to handle my XT3 with 16-80 and 70-300 (either mounted) and one of the F2 primes. Bonus that it can also hold a water bottle externally. Going to give it a true test on upcoming trip to NZ. Edit: Another combination I'll likely be using is...

And here it is on my XE3. Feels very solid, focus and aperture rings dampened quite nicely. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow morning and take some test shots.

A TT Artisans 25mm f2.0 for Fuji X mount. As I don't have any true manual lenses I thought for the price ($64 USD) it might be a good place to start, to see I can gel with such folly . Arrives tomorrow.
