    Leica "Leica" subreddit on Reddit

Tom, Roger and you were the ones I missed the most from there, but really the place was well past it's "best by" date when I stopped going there. This place seems really nice and I'll take it happily.

    Critique Wanted Local Late Winter

Thank you. The Birkebiner race was this past weekend. I consider that the end of "winter" as such. :D The third is the strongest of the day. There is no doubt about that to me either. The second was the last of a number of shots at different angles. The rest had even more in the way, or the...

An older moment of shades of grey for me.

    Critique Wanted Local Late Winter

Still getting used to the new to me Nikon D3200. I was originally looking for images to convert to black and white but today was so beautiful and sunny that the colors just are too good to give away. Thoughts on them are appreciated.

Leica Rangefinder to rule them all

Always liked Canon for rangefinders. I still have my Canon 7 and keep fighting the urge to get a P.

Animals The Requisite Cat (Kitty) Photo thread

So KiKi-Mau-Mau (official name Sophie but it's usually this or Furball ) was sitting on the top of the chair behind me, letting me know I wasn't giving her enough attention. I picked up the camera in one hand, held it out and did a sort of selfie of her. Worked better than I expected...

News / Rumor Mirrorless vs. Playstation

My favorite destressor is called Warframe  377 hours and I'm around halfway done with the star chart :ninja:

News / Rumor Mirrorless vs. Playstation

I'll stick to games on my PC rather than a console anymore - with a Nintendo Switch for the portability. Now if Nikon and Nintendo got together and built a miniSwitch into the back screen of my DSLR, at least I'd finally have a use for that screen.

Film What FILM (!) photography related item did you buy this week?

Got it today. Nice feeling hunk of well made camera. I think I'm going to enjoy this one quite a bit. Dug out the developing kit, loaded a roll of ultra 100 @ ISO200 and we're off and running.

    Film Diafine Lifespan?

So digging out my developing kit since I have a Nikon F90x on the way, I discovered that I still have a pair of Diafine A&B jugs mixed up. They've been in my closet several years. Anyone know if it should still work? I'll probably experiment with that first roll anyway but just thought I'd put a...

Film If you could only have one (film) camera for the rest of your life?

If it came down to one camera, I'm thinking that I'd choose a Nikon F4. Tough, reliable, handles almost every Nikkor lens ever made, plus I find the ergos fit me better these days.

Film People have asked, What was your first camera?

Canon AE-1 program with the 50/1.8 SC lens at the PX in Illesheim FRG back in 1983.

Film What FILM (!) photography related item did you buy this week?

Nikon F90x and a MB-10 to go with it. No pics yet since I only pulled the trigger yesterday :) With luck I'll be able to burn some Fuji next weekend during the Birke ski race here in town.

    New to the forum

Thank you! I just hosed this months toy budget (F90x & MB-10 on the way) but that's a list of lenses that will remain helpful. I should have just stuck with Nikon rather than that detour through m4/3 land. Don't get me wrong, they were good cameras and I got some very good images with them. I'm...

Nikkor-H 50/2 (scribbles notes frantically) What are good yet reasonably priced AI lenses for 28, 35 & ~100 ranges?

 I am kicking myself for selling the pre-ai's I had with the F2 prior to going m4/3 but that's a typical foolishness. Right now I have a 50/1.8 Series E, 35/1.8 DX, 50/1.8 AF-S G Special Edition & a 18-55 VRII kit lens that is good enough that I'll actually use it rather than get too...

    New to the forum

New to the forum, found it looking for Nikon info because I recently switched from m4/3 to a Nikon D3200 (and probably an F90x just because). Back in film days I mostly did either rangefinders (Kiev & Canon) or SLRs from Canon with the T-90 & A2E remaining my favorite SLRs though I did use an F2...
