Good to hear John,
How about you tell us how you all are in three months time!!
I have an MRI coming up and I will do the same...well maybe not...I actually wouldn't expect anybody here to expend more emotional energy than a natural blink re. my life situation.
Good Luck!
I love my PL 9.
For me it's the goldilocks length for WA lenses....pretty wide but not silly wide and very close to a wide, walkaround.
As good as the Laowa competition is it's hard to beat with the addition of AF, weather sealing and a slightly faster f/1.7
On a G100 it's a ridiculously small...
We are all very different but amusingly, [to some], my new favourite camera is a mint, perfectly functional, EM1i [$300 AUD]which I feel is destined to supplant my Em1ii in a lot of situations by way of it's tilting rear screen and modest size and weight.
I had a GX8. Obviously a very nice EVF...
Parachilna Hotel South Australia grub [grub is a slang term for food.. right?]
Not sure if it is 'from the road' or 'on the road' [or both]..but definitly a bit feral. :hmmm:
Unsurprisingly, the Camel sausage was somewhat dry!
Right,
This is my first go so I hope I have the rules worked out.
Obviously Italia...and if anybody can tell me what 'hell from the mouth, sky from the hand' means I'd be quite grateful :D
Looking for the what and where and a street name would be good too!
Hint....It's NOT a plant shop!
Ian, given that you know the height of these mountains, down to the last metre, I think it's time to fess up and tell us that you actually know where this place is!!! :th_salute:
Some great shots there melanie!!
I'm not 100% sure about the output of the Oly pancake?
And you left the PL12-60 at home?
[I know....a tad bigger than a pancake]
John, the floors look so-so..but thats where all the walking in from outside happens.
Apart from one spot, the walls look pretty good!
I can understand your unhappiness with having to be where you are but there is a good chance that you wouldn't be chatting to us if not for this place!!
So...
'There was a chap from Mildura on the ward I'm in for a couple of days. He fell off his roof while cleaning their gutters.'
Jeese, old geesers on ladders.......we should be banned from using them after we turn 70..or maybe earlier! :crying:
Sorry John,
Just read all this [skipped through the graphics quickly 😵]
Sounds like you betta git outa there fast...and back to Chateau King ! 🤯
[ Sorry, not sure an 'exploding head' emoji is appropriate here? ]
No definitely not a 'sleeper' but what is often not recognized is it's amazing output.
I bought one a few years ago to see what all all the fuss was about and took an instant dislike to it. I probably had an average copy but I wasn't impressed with IQ and the zoom to open set-up drove me...
The PL 9 is great lens and I got one recently.
For me 9mm is the goldilocks length for WAs.....it's wide but not silly wide.
I was looking at the Laowa 6mm [sun-stars at f/4, yeaah!!] but that length really needs some serious concentration when composing a shot. And I couldn't be bothered with...
my wife and I went on a bit of a street art safari in Melbourne recently.
A huge selection of styles and presentations ranging from the panoramic, sweet, super grunge, humorous, sexy.
And sorry, more to come!
That's a normal sized adult female in the box [watched her get in]
Circular Quay Sydney
[Sorry for the image quality]
EDIT: After looking at this again...it was taken a while ago...I do think I remember she was hugging a soccer ball as well...for good measure!
I mostly shoot M43 these days [EM1 ii] but there is a spare X-T2 in the house and my wife has an X-T4 and lenses.
Anyway, I was looking hard for a medium tele zoom, particularly at the Oly 40-150 f/4 when it occurred to me that the 50-200 was pretty identical in focal range, aperture and size...
These were a few opportunistic shots after driving past some country racing, while touring.
Shot from the road in a rush and a long way from being 'there'....but fun anyway and lit an interest in me for pursuing motor sports further .
Thanks John.
Old Woman Island?....well off to the right....closer to Maroochy I think?
Used to fish for Bream [or anything] in the Maroochy River as well as dropping a crab-pot or two [loaded with irresistible pig heads!!] :p
If Only...A tag that follows most of us around.
In this case we chanced upon a dirt bike race while touring around southern Queensland.
Pulled up, and from the road, dragged out the Em1 ii and the Oly 75-300mm and blasted away.
But:
If Only we we were prepared, were 200m closer, I had, maybe...
