    Fuji Ken Rockwell on X-T2...

I may be a bit slow, but I never thought of the pro in X-Pro2 as a reference to professional. If it is indeed such a reference, then it is the first camera I have had that has any meaning baked into the model name. GX8, EM-1, GF1, LX3 and not talk about the Canon 400D - was that one not called a...

    Fuji Ken Rockwell on X-T2...

A pro,as in professional means just that. If someone is professional, thats how they make a living presumably having a photography business. It is definitely not how "good" they are. Good is purely subjective. Of the examples mentioned above, subject 1 and presumably 2 are pros. I doubt...

    Fuji Ken Rockwell on X-T2...

Gee, every time there is a new Fuji camera, we have to deal with this Rockwell-nonsense? He alienated me (or I him??) after his X-Pro2 "review".

No you are right about that. Hope they make it so that I can change focus while filming anyway .

Fuji New X-Pro2 Firmware improves AF during video??

Hi, I know Fuji will update the AF on the X-Pro2 in the next firmware. Does anyone know if the AF during movie-mode also will be updated? Seems to me some functions can be added, most notably AF-S during recording (now you have to focus before you start the recording). I assume the X-T2 has...

Fuji Freedom aka small is beautiful and goodbye EVF lenses (X-Pro2)

Yupp, and thats the reason I sold the zoom and the 90. When using these lenses I could have used any mirrorless camera and it would feel the same (not entirely true, but you get my point). OVF is the reason I bought X-pro2 and I want to use it even more.

Fuji Freedom aka small is beautiful and goodbye EVF lenses (X-Pro2)

I dont know about this, but then again I jus found out that you can manually change magnification, although that prevents the camera from automatically change it unless you hot-swap the lenses.

Fuji Freedom aka small is beautiful and goodbye EVF lenses (X-Pro2)

Today I sold my EVF lenses (16-55 2.8 and 90 mm f2) and I feel free again, much like I felt when I first picked up a X-Pro1 and the 18/F2. I realise that it was a wrong path to go down the EVF route with my X-Pro2, I have only the 18/F2 and 35/F2 left. Since I blow some serious GAS, I need...

Fuji Showcase Fujinon 100-400mm WR samples

Guys you are going to cost me a lot of money! Interesting to hear from drocco, who has used both this and the PanaLeica 100-400. Do you feel the IQ is better, the AF tracking? Please elaborate :)

Fuji Fast prime lens on X-Pro1

So the consensus is that the best lenses are 16/1.4, 23/1.4, 35/2 or 1.4, 90/2 and 56/1.4? There is actually a used 90mm for sale here now, if only I wasn´t limited to EVF, but WR is an advantage. Would you guys say that the 16 is better than the 23, or is that splitting hairs?

Fuji Fast prime lens on X-Pro1

I think I agree with this, I´d rather keep my 18 for now. As for the 23, I really don´t see much of a practical difference in focal length between the 18 and the 23. I do fear that the 56 is going to sit on the shelf a lot, I got the 75 1.8 for m43 which also is a strange focal length, I don´t...

Fuji Fast prime lens on X-Pro1

Hi, I want to add one fast lens to my X-Pro1 setup. I currently have the 18/F2 and 35/F2. I have been looking at the 56 1.2 but I do not normally shoot a lot of portraits. The 56 would be a short telephoto lens for me, which I guess is ok although WR would have been preferable? Alternatively I...

Fuji Has anyone made the switch from Micro 4/3 to a Fuji X?

I have had several m4/3 cameras including OMD-EM5, OMD-EM1 and recently the Panasonic GX8. All are fast and responsive. I still have my GM1, so I am not completely forgetting that system. I bought a used X-Pro1 with 18 F2 and 35 F2 to test the waters. What draws me to Fuji over M4/3 is the style...

Fuji Has anyone made the switch from Micro 4/3 to a Fuji X?

Yes I think so. You actually use the camera to make another jpg from the RAW. I am going to test this approach! Thanks for clarifying .

By using the built on raw converter, you mean you shoot jpegs?

    Fuji Sharpest Fuji lens?

Yesterday I ordered the 35 F2 to accompany my newly bought (used) X-Pro1 with 18/F2. It was difficult to decide between the two 35 models, the 1.4 is occasionally available used with the same price tag as a new 35/F2. I went with the latter due to newer construction design, but it was a toss of...

    Fuji X-E1 vs X-E2 now?

Yes, import is a no no. Just a little quick update, if anyones interested. I did finally join Fujiland and bought myself a marginally used X-Pro1 with the 18/F2 lens. The deal was just to sweet, 300 USD below a used X-E2 with the same lens. I will continue to use both my Panasonic GX8 and...

    Fuji X-E1 vs X-E2 now?

I understand. I would get a X-E2 if I could find it used, but no one in Norway is selling one currently. A few X-Pro1, I think I´ll go there if I can make a deal now. Then I can either get rid of the GAS or sell my M43 gear :) Thanks.

    Fuji X-E1 vs X-E2 now?

Thank you Bill. Helpful as always with my many questions about Fuji. It may be just GAS, but I dont think it will blow over until I try a Fuji.. Anyway, so you would recommend a X-pro1 over X-E2?

    Fuji X-E1 vs X-E2 now?

Hi, I am looking for a smart (aka cheap) way to see if I like the Fuji system. Now you can get used X-E1 and sometimes E2 quite good prices. Is there a lot between these cameras, I know AF was an issue on XE1 but latest firmwares may have caught up with that? I will have it for travel...

Fuji Any reviews of the 100-400?

In reality it is going to be a race between Panasonic GX8 and the X-Pro2 for me. Thats why I want the 100-400 review of both the panasonic and Fuji lenses so I can compare. I have 2 m43 lenses from previously, so the economic way would be the GX8 - but then again there is just something about...

Since Olympus is killing it (meaning the interest) with the price of O300 2.8, I am looking at switching systems. I am struggling to find any reviews of the Fuji 100-400 anywhere - can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Thanks for the input. I am so seriously not able to decide. I dont want to risk being disappointed with the AF. Argh, if only I could try it first :( I have the feeling I either love or hate it. It is a used one for about 400 £, crap I dont know what to do. Do anyone know of any YT videos of a...

    Fuji Used X-Pro 1 today?

Thanks. The reason I shoot JPEGs is process. I like that the process starts and finishes with the camera. I like that I can´t think "Just shoot, you can always adjust later". I do not want to process of creating pictures to be extended to my computer. That, and I am lazy :) But I do understand...

    Fuji Used X-Pro 1 today?

Thank you for your post! Yeah I like the X-Pro1 mono shots, particular the car and gorilla. The lenses 56 mm and 90 mm are probably very sharp! Would you consider the 27 2.8 a sharp lens? The X-Pro1 and 27 combo is available to me used - thats why I consider this lens.

    Fuji Used X-Pro 1 today?

Well, I now that this question has been asked and answered several times - most seems to say that the X-Pro 1 is still a capable camera. My situation is, as I have stated in another thread in here, that I always wanted the X-Pro 1 because of the form factor. Since I have the OM-D System already...

    Fuji Sharpest Fuji lens?

Hi, I drool at the X-Pro1 and the dropping prices and really want to buy one now on "outgoing" prices. I just want one prime with it, total focal length 25 to 50 mm (not longer than 50). What is the recommended lens? I rate sharpness highly (not only center) and fast aperture is a solid plus...

Fuji X-T1 or X-Pro1 at half price?

Yeah I know. I do find this a very tough choice. Mostly because the cameras (both Xt-1 and EM-1) are so darn expensive. I have the camera in hand now, will play with it over the weekend before I have to make a choice. Thanks everyone for chiming in!!

Fuji X-T1 or X-Pro1 at half price?

I know it is a little off topic, but on slrgear.com it seems clear that the best m43 lenses are sharper than Fujis (which are still very good). Do you think it is accurate to say that the IQ will be better on the Fuji because of the sensor size even though the m43 lens may be sharper? Package...

you have my sympathy. My plan is to get a GF something model so I can use that with the 75mm option (and my 12-40 f2.8). I may have to sell if I want more Fuji glass though.

Fuji Flash for X-T1 (off camera flash with cord)

Alright, thanks. I think I will try out some cheapish (?) models. I am at the level where I had to google TTL exposure. I see if I can get something manual on the second hand market. Just a quick question, Manual flash means setting the flash power manual, it will still fire automatically right?
