My thoughts exactly. He is in the Houston area enough where we can share lenses as desired. Then again, by Texas standards, Dallas is close enough (less than 4 hours) to where I could go for a visit or we meet in the middle at Centerville to swap lenses.

How is the weather sealing on the camera and lens? I would be hesitant about that situation with either of my Leicas.

Conoco Tower Station, Route 66, Shamrock Texas. This served as a model for the station in the movie Cars. Both photos were taken tripod mounted with a 2 second shutter delay to minimize vibration.

I took a drive up into the Texas Panhandle to photograph an old gas station that was the basis for the gas station / body shop in the Cars movies. On the way, I came across some abandoned farm buildings.

I found a used one in like new condition. All that was missing was some of the original papers. I probably saved 10%-15% over a new lens.

It depends on how you count. I have possession of a Leica CL and M10-R with 6 lenses for the kit. My son has my Nikon D7100 with 3 zooms and my FM3a. There are also 2 point and shoots that never get used.

Oak Grove Cemetery, Nacogdoches, Texas.

Zion Hill Baptist Church, Nacogdoches, Texas. The church is adjacent to the Oak Grove Cemetery. The cemetery contains the graves of several individuals who signed the Texas Declaration of Independence and other influential individuals from the Republic of Texas period.

Historic bridge that has been preserved. It no longer carries traffic. It is next to Texas-19 near Riverside, Texas.

There were some large fields of bluebonnets on the east side of Hempstead on 290 / 6. But they were on the ring side of the highway and the shoulder was crowded with other cars. The baffling thing was people thought it was ok to climb over the fence and trespass on the property.

These were taken near Washington, Texas. It is close to Washington on the Brazos where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. The blue bonnets are starting to come into bloom but not at peak yet.

The really irritating thing about the M10 kit is I can only get the body and 3 lenses in my Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 25. I cant carry all 4 easily.

Well, I had some money in my pocket and it was burning a hole in it. Nothing else to do but to buy a Elmarit-M 1:2.8/28. I really like this lens. This pretty well finishes out my kit. I have a 24, 28, 35 and 50. I also have my CL with th 11-23 and 18-56. Here are a few from the 28.

I have the Nikon Monarch 7, 10x42. I have been quite pleased with them. They are relatively light weight and perform well. I have had them with me when photog birds with my Nikon D7100 and 200-500 zoom. The magnification on the binoculars was greater than the lens when set to 500 mm.
