This is exactly what I was hoping for!!! Try to fix up an imperfect image with a variety of products and techniques and see what works best. I can see that my own attempt has already been bettered. Please keep them coming.

I didn't use any type of additional support. I can't remember when I last used my tripod. The excellent IS of Olympus / OM System cameras and lenses has rendered this to be unnecessary for me in most cases, except for exposures of more than 1 sec. So most times I don't carry a tripod or monopod...

Rashid, I have exactly the same problem. I have the choice of going further and further back into my archives, or choosing something fairly recent which is not really suitable. Like right now! ;)

Entry #2: As for Entry #1, but cropped down from the top if the image to put more emphasis onto the foreground.

Entry #1: This is just a boring edit of the original image using DxO PureRAW 4 and Capture One Pro. The only extra thing that I did, from my point of view, was to mask the prow of the gondola intruding into the bottom part of the image and then "healing" out.

Entry #2: As for Entry #1, but performed a 100% Keystone Correction and then cropped the image to get the steeple in the centre of the image. I still can't decide which one I prefer.
