Star Trails and the Milky Way

I LOVE trying to capture the night sky! It takes a bit to get away from our city's light pollution but after an hour's drive, I reached the darkest place in the eastern part of Kansas. Star Trails is still on my photographic bucket list but here are a few of the Milky Way and one with the Big...

The yellow one was her valentine's present a few years ago. The Harley was something that doesn't run, but he loves.

    Show "Remarkable House"

My friend built a new house by her childhood home, built by her grandparents in the late 1800s. They're side by side. I did not get the old house, too much growth around it, but her new one is quite photogenic. Olympus OM 1

    Micro 4/3 So, I Did a Thing...

I got the OM 1 in my hands shortly before Christmas and am still working with a LOT of the offerings of the camera but so far it's a winner. I just acquired my husband's neglected M1X (traded for my old EM 1 II) and am now learning it. I love the battery life of the OM 1, love the all one body...

I fell in love with hood ornaments decades ago when photographing a Duesenberg that was supposedly owned by Barbara Stanwick. Absolutely gorgeous. I have a bunch, but they're on film and sigh what a monster of negs I have to go through to find them all. Meanwhile, I'm hoping to find more cars...

Micro 4/3 Olympus 40-150 vs 40-150 (Battle of the Pros)

I cannot address the f4 but I DO have the 2.8 and with an extender, it leaves me at 4. I find that too slow for many of the things I want to photograph (High school football, late in the evening means I need as much speed as I can get). I guess you'll have to decide what you're photographing and...

    Hello from Kansas

Working in a lab during the digital transformation, I ended up in charge of it and having to really master Photoshop. I love what can be done with it. It can be abused for sure, but it is also a very powerful tool, giving me a chance to really make my images look like what I saw in my head. Of...

    Hello from Kansas

I stopped using film, then went back to it and then stopped. I love the process, but having owned a digital lab (Fuji Frontier, Chromira 30" ZBE) I ended up just digitizing the negatives. I still own my original Rebel and one lens, though. Maybe someday I'll take it back out.

    Hello from Kansas

Hello all, my name is Linda Gregory. I've been into photography for decades now, going from hobbyist to serious hobbyist to pro to not pro and back to pro... I tend to jump genres as I like learning and mastering new things. As for gear, I started with a Canon Rebel film camera, putting it...
