The aurora was very visible in the UK last night (Oct 10th). Here's a few from me. All with the S5. First two with just a single 30s exposure at ISO 100. Last one is a live comp of about 40s with multiple 8s exposure. All with the TTArtisan 11mm f2.8 fisheye (at f8).

I have one (and an S1R and S5). The S5ii is a very good camera.

There will be an S1 mk II coming soon. Probably with the 60Mp sensor from the SL3, and maybe a video oriented body with anew 36Mp sensor with fast readout.

Lovely colours and very nice composition. I agree about the frustrations of cropping in LR mobile.

On a wider point, what is the status of the site these days? Are things looking stable financially etc? I sometimes wonder about the hosting costs given that all images are imported so the storage needs must be huge.

It’s been performing badly for the last few days too. Seems better since its little snooze!

I must say I’ve decided that 196Mp pixel shift hi res images from the S1R are a bit pointless. Not only are the files huge and slow the PP down significantly, but the extra detail really isn’t that useful - partly because lens limitations mean that the amount of real extra detail is limited...

Do you find the AF in the SL2 not good enough for your sort of photography? I do mostly landscapes/cityscapes so practically everything I photograph is nailed to the perch, so fancy AF is of no interest to me; but I got the impression that the DFD technology of the SL cameras was good enough...
